My gaze jumped to Yeosang, who now took the guard and put it over his shoulder and then my hand to pull me after him.
"Run." he called to me and I activated my newfound vampire powers to keep up with his speed.
"But the queen..." I began, but Yeosang kept running.
"I got her... The spell had switched the appearance of the two." He explained and as soon as we reached the back exit of the pack house, the door to the hall opened and more guards spotted us. Outside, Yeosang wasted no time in transforming himself into a dragon, while I took the queen in my arms and swung myself onto his scaly back. Before even one guard had left the house, we took to the skies and flew to the clearing, where the others were already waiting and took to the air at our signal. Behind us we heard the howling of the Lycans, but we were already too high and too far away for them to do us any harm now. I breathed a sigh of relief and looked at the queen, Hoseok's mother, who had lost consciousness at some point during the rescue, but now no longer looked like a Lycan guard, but had acquired soft features and actually bore a strong resemblance to Hobi.
"Queen Amella..." I heard Hongjoong say in awe as he looked over at us.
"She's fine, she's just fainted," I told him gently and he nodded with relief.
"I could heal her with my water magic..." Jimin offered from the other side, where he was flying alongside us with Namjoon.
"Let's just keep flying, we'll take care of everyone when we get to the castle, no one's really hurt..." interjected Jin and I had to agree with him, I wanted to go back, throw myself into a hot bath somewhere with Wooyoung and Yeosang and nibble on both of their necks until the wolf in me was satisfied.

I stood restlessly in the castle's distant view, looking repeatedly in the direction the others had flown earlier, waiting for them to return. Although I had confidence in their abilities, I was still on tenterhooks, hoping that everything would go smoothly and that everyone would return safely. I kept rubbing my palms together, trying to make out something in the dark sky, only to sigh in frustration.
"Don't worry, the boys will be fine." I heard a voice behind me and turned around in surprise, as I hadn't expected company.
"Mira... yes... I know, but I'm so tense. What if something doesn't go as planned at the last moment and something happens to one of them? I wish they were back here already." I explained and she came closer to stroke my head reassuringly.
"Everything will be fine, I can feel it. My orb hasn't indicated any bad luck for today... My daughter-in-law is finally coming back." she said with a smile and I looked at her guiltily.
"I'm so sorry that your son won't be coming back," I said sadly.
"It was his own decision, you didn't force him to sacrifice himself for the dome..." she replied.
"He saved my people... I will be forever grateful to your family. I didn't even know that his son would one day be my companion." When our dome was built, it had taken several magical races to charge it. Unfortunately, the magic power of Hoseok's father, who wanted to help us because he wanted to make amends for the vampire massacre, was completely consumed by the dome and so he died, giving up his life for my people. He hadn't outed himself as the king of the witches, I thought he was just a friendly wanderer who wanted to help. I only found out the truth years later.
"He had visions and saw it as his duty, after all, he was still protecting his son and will do so forever. Oh... look... is that a dragon back there?"
