"Prinsipe Lionel."

I looked at Vallen who was right outside the door, waiting for me to come out.

"Let's go." Ani ko, at wala na akong iba pang sinabi sa kanya. He escorted me out of the mansion, at nakasalubong ko si Alkaia while doing so.

"Your sister needs you." Binigyan niya lang ako ng isang panandaliang yuko matapos nung mga sinabi ko, and we soon went to our separate ways.

After all.. we have no more time to lose.

I went straight ahead to the palace since that was the only place left to go. I assume that I won't be needing to meet Ashina for a few more days. Just until she settles down.

And that'll give me enough time to clean up the mess that the empress made for me.

It shouldn't be hard.

Since I'm dancing around it for the second time.

While reaching the palace doors, knights and other servants lined up to greet me. Each one of them bowed their heads to me as I made my way to the throne room. I had to show my face to our sovereign after all the issues back in Treviri.

"I bow my head before the sovereign of our empire."

I took a short bow in front of the throne, and as soon as I looked up, I saw my father and the empress looking at me.

"Welcome back, my son." My father greeted, and I could tell that the empress had to force her feelings of disdain aside and greeted me as well.

"Welcome back, Prince Lionel." She muttered beneath her breath, at hindi ko alam kung tatawa ako sa naging itsura ng mukha niya o hindi.

And from there on, I reported what happened during our time in Treviri. From the case that happened in the Duke Randall's mansion, up until the part where I had to stay in Treviri for the matters related to Lucencia Empire.

"If all goes well, your majesty, a non-aggression agreement may be signed after careful deliberation between the two empires."

That was my last statement that earned a curt nod from the emperor, and I could only see the empress look at me with scrutiny.

"Well done, son. I'll leave you to arrange the visit of Lucencia's crown prince to our empire." I bowed my head as soon as my father stopped speaking, at nung naangat ko yung ulo ko, it was the empress' time to speak.

"The second prince's effort shan't be put to waste, your majesty." The empress looked at the emperor with a gleaming smile on her lips, and she glanced at me again to finish her words.

"We should reward him."
