The prince's magic has finally worn off, and I saw him in common people's clothing after that. Which was very confusing, because if he was visiting, alam kong hindi dapat gano'n yung suot niya.

Hindi ko alam kung magugulat ba ako na tinawag ni Alkaia si Rivai, with his full title, as if he was refusing to acknowledge his name.
"His highness.. the second prince will be here soon." Pinatong ni Ascelin yung kamay niya sa kanyang dibdib, bilang paggalang sa prinsipeng nasa harapan niya. But his words suggested that the prince should follow what Alkaia first said.

Nakarinig muna kami ng pagyabag ng paa matapos ang salitang 'yon, and no soon after that, I saw Lionel standing in between Alkaia and Ascelin.

"Please refrain from pointing your swords at each other inside our household." Nagsalita na ako agad bago pa sila makakilos nang masama, and I just watched as all the men stared at me for saying so.
"Well, you heard the princess." Nakangiti pa ring sambit ni Rivai kay Lionel, at nakita kong mapatingin sa akin ang pangalawang prinsipe.
"Ashina." Tinawag niya ako sa pangalan ko, and it was as if he was beckoning me to him. At ito akong hindi na maiwasan na sumunod sa kanya.
Nakita ko nalang yung sarili kong papalapit sa kanya, and I could also see Rivai's eyes that were slowly following me to where I was going. Sa oras na makarating ako sa tabi ni Lionel, the men I was affiliated with were shielding me away from Rivai's prying eyes.
