While I was with Eva and Brynn the other day (and slightly under the influence) we decided to book a trip to Florida. We ended up finding last minute tickets for under $130, and with us splitting the cost of checked bags our total came out to $150 even each. My aunt has a vacation condo in one of the West Coast beach towns and we were lucky to find out it wasn't being occupied for the six days we'd be down there.

I wish Maya was coming with us, she's been done with school for a few weeks now, but things were going so well with her boyfriend that they decided to move in together. I'm happy for them, but I really miss her.

One 6am flight later and we arrived in Florida. The drive to the condo was thankfully less than an hour, at this point the three of us are antsy and our legs are cramped.

When the girls and I push open the door to the condo we're in awe. It's simple yet beautiful. It's an open concept, with the paint scheme being a light blue and tan. The furniture in the living room consists of a matching recliner and couch in a creme color. The appliances in the kitchen are stainless steel, the backsplash consists of white sea shells in white grout, the cabinets are wood (which compliments the floors), with white marble countertops. The table is glass with silver legs, and the chairs are white with silver legs. The floors are beautifully shined wood. The wood continues throughout the whole place.  All cabinet handles, towel hangers, door handles and hinges are silver. I get the master bedroom with the walk-in closet and private bath. Brynn and Eva bicker over who gets the bigger spare room (Eva won) and they'll be sharing a bathroom.

Once we're done exploring we reconvene in the livingroom to order supplies for the week. While we're waiting on our items to be delivered, the plan is to unpack and make the place our own.

Thankfully the delivery time is quick and we're able to put every item in its respected place efficiently. Seeing as we're all tired, we decide on going out to dinner - but not before hitting the pool of course.

The sun is at its peak and the UV index is a 9 at roughly 3pm when we arrive at the pool. We decide to tan after we swim as it will dry us off. We spent the hour in the pool relaxing and discussing what we want to accomplish this trip. By the time it comes to get out, none of us want to, so we stay in for another 30 minutes.

It's 5:30pm by the time we're back at the condo. Brynn and Eva shower first while I make us a post-pool snack.

It's nearing 8pm when we've all finished getting ready and are now waiting on an uber.

The drive to the strip of restaurants we picked was less than 20 minutes. None of us go on our phones the whole time, we just stare out the windows in satisfaction.

After walking around for some time we decided on a local Italian joint. It ended up being phenomenal. I ordered the lasagna and it was so authentic it reminded me of the time I spent in Italy.

Once back at the condo we end the night by walking to wawa to grab ice cream and settle down with the first movie in the After series on Netflix.

Night one came and went quickly. We got much needed rest on day two. We took our time getting up and making breakfast. Today's plan is to go to a funky town my aunt recommended as she said there were a bunch of cute shops to look at.

We took our time browsing through stores. Brynn bought something for Jaxon, Eva bought something for Elias, and although Grayson and I aren't speaking at the moment - when I laid my eyes on a black rope bracelet with a gold anchor charm I knew I had to get it for him. I just hope one day I'll be able to give it to him.

While we waited for the uber back to the condo we stopped for ice cream.

Back at the condo we all agreed to take a nap and cook dinner at home tonight.

Post-nap we caught the last of the sun poolside, the most breathtaking sunset included, and had a quick dip.

While cooking dinner we listened to music and danced around the kitchen singing into various utensils as they served as our makeshift microphones.

We ate our dinner on the patio looking up at the star-filled sky, enjoying the company of the fireflies, while Florida's nature hummed softly in the background.

We ended the night with the second movie in Netflix's After series.

Day three was our designated beach day. In the morning we caught a ferry boat to an island which is known for all the shells you can collect.

We went back to the condo to eat lunch and take a nap.

Once we were all well rested, we went to the most highly recommended beach and stayed for the sunset which was breathtaking yet again.

All sunkissed and post showered, we ate dinner on the couch watching the third movie in Netflix's After series.
