Outside of my old highschool I stand with my mom, dad, Grayson, and Beau. My parents being here together is awkward to say the least, but they put their differences aside for one day. One day that's seemingly going to be very silent.

Grayson and I have been going strong for 7 months now. Have there been some rough patches? Absolutely. We've been able to move past all of them in a mature manner.

I told my dad about Grayson around the 5 month mark, today they officially met. It was nice having my mom and Beau there as a buffer, but ultimately I think everything went smoothly. I believe Grayson impressed my dad - which is hard to do to say the least.

The five of us make our way down to the football field to take our seats in the bleachers for Jake's High School graduation ceremony.

Thankfully the ceremony ends quickly as our school is small. Jake meets up with us after he's said goodbye to all of his school friends. My family insists on pictures so we move to a quieter location on the school grounds. Grayson is our designated photographer but he's an absolute trooper when doing so.

"Are we done yet?" Jake asks for the third time. Truthfully, I've been done for a while now too.

"Yes," my mom finally lets us off the hook.

I'm chomping at the bit to bring Jake to his surprise, "come on!"

Grayson laughs at my eager manner, I'm practically dragging Jake by the wrist to the parking lot. Beau walks beside Jake shrugging off any of his questions.

The further down into the parking lot we get, three cars come into view. Grayson's Porsche, Jaxon and Brynn leaning on his 350z, and Tristian leaning on his Subaru WRX.

"Oh my god." Jake smirks looking down at me, his tone almost embarrassed from the attention.

"What's up grad?" Jaxon and Jake connect hands in a bro-handshake manner before pulling each other in for a hug and a slap on the back.

Jake and Brynn exchange a side hug as she says, "congratulations."

Jake then makes his way over to Tristian, "finally a free man, huh?" They dap each other up. "How's it feel?"

"Feels fuckin' great!" Jake turns to look back at Grayson, Beau, and I.

"There's more!" I'm borderline jumping up and down at this point.

"What?" Jake asks, confused. He looks to the guys for insight, but they all shrug him off with a smirk.

"We booked an Air bnb for the next two days in Niagara falls, and a photographer so we can get pictures of the cars!"

"That's sick, thank you guys." Jake makes the rounds again either hugging or dapping up each person he gives his thanks too.

"Go have fun with your friends, Dean is coming too. We leave after dinner with mom and her boyfriend. I've already got your bag of clothes packed, ask dad for it so you can grab your toiletries." I pull my brother in for a hug, something I haven't done in years. "I'm proud of you, congratulations."

"Thanks, sis."

We say our goodbyes to everyone until later tonight. Grayson and I hop in his car to head out for a late lunch.

"You ready?" I ask him.

"As I'll ever be." He replies, smirking.

I roll my eyes grinning and Grayson leans over to give me a kiss.

I put the Porsche in first gear and turn out of the school's parking lot, making sure to do a pull as we pass the front of the building.

"No one will ever drive this" my ass, Grayson. I have the best boyfriend.
