Since Jaxon met us at CVS and we decided to go for a cruise, we've been driving around aimlessly for the past half hour.

I'm taking rollers for Jaxon as my phone rings, it's brynn.

"Jaxon wants food. Follow us."

We pull into McDonalds. Jaxon goes through the drive through, Grayson brings us to the back lot.

He grabs my seahorse from the back seat and starts to play with it. The entertainment from that doesn't last long.

Now we sit staring at each other in comfortable silence.

"You know, you can tell a lot by looking into a persons eyes." Grayson comments.

"Oh yeah?" I question.

"Yeah."

I've learned that he will only answer what he wants to, even if I questioned him on it, he wouldn't avoid it, he just wouldn't elaborate. Grayson is a man of many mysteries. I just hope soon he'll let me in on them.

Jaxon pulls up beside us and we make the plan to go back to Grayson's house.

We arrive and park the cars. Jaxon comments on Grayson's basketball hoop. Grayson runs into the garage to get the ball.

The boys play basketball while Brynn and I sit back to talk.

"Ya know," Brynn pauses. "I feel like I'm seeing our future play out right now."

"Yeah, it's like ten years down the road and they're our husbands. Our kids are out back playing in the yard, and you and I just get to reminisce on how far we've come." I agree.

"It's perfect."

"I've never wanted anything more."

"Think fast!" Grayson fakes me out.

"Grayson!" I yell with my hands shielded over my face.

He jogs up to me. "I'm sorry." He chuckles.

"Yeah yeah." I roll my eyes sarcastically.

"What are you ladies gossiping about?" Jaxon asks as he walks up to us.

Brynn and I look at each other. "Nothing" we reply in unison.

"Sure." Jaxon says. Neither of the boys by it.

Grayson suggests we go grab pizza. Jaxon suggests we cruse there.

We arrive to the restaurant to pick up our order and as we're walking inside Jaxon notes that his car was acting weird.

When we get back outside Grayson sends me to the car with the pizza as they try to assess the situation. Brynn is sitting in the passenger seat of Jaxon's car and we're texting.

Grayson opens his door and slides in. "I'm gonna follow him back to my place just in case. Send brynn the address."

I do as I'm told and we head off.

About halfway into our drive, Jaxon's car seems to slow down. He puts his hazards on and pulls to the shoulder of the road.

He couldn't have stopped at a worse location. We're on a blind sweeping turn and the speed limit is 50mph. People fly by much faster than that.

Grayson pulls up behind Jaxon and puts his hazards on as well. "Stay here." He instructs me.

Brynn and I continue texting as the boys attempt to asses the situation.

Grayson comes back to inform me of the plan: Brynn is going to stay with Grayson's car, I am going to get in the drivers seat of Jaxon's car, and the boys are going to push the car to the parking lot of a restaurant that's just up ahead. The only flaw I see in their plan is that the restaurant is on the opposite side of the road.

Completely sketched out, Brynn and I do as we're told.

We're in sight of the restaurant now and the boys are taking a break from pushing the car. My phone rings and it's Brynn.

"A cop just told me it wasn't wise to park here."

"What did you say?" I question.

"That you guys broke down up ahead and are pushing the car. I told the officer if I knew stick I'd move Grayson's car, but I'm not confident in driving it."

"Are they going to send an officer to help?"

"He made it seem like they were."

Once Brynn and I end the phone call I make my way out to the boys and relay what she just told me. When they're ready to start pushing again I get back into the car. I continue to shout words of encouragement at them trying to make light of the situation.

Somehow we manage to get the car safely into the parking lot. We get out and I cheer, "good job guys!"

Jaxon doesn't want to leave his car alone, so now here we are - Grayson and I running across the road with interlocked hands hustling back to Brynn in his car.

He puts me to the side further from the road and grabs my hand.

After a couple minutes of walking Grayson is winded. "Gray let's stop and take a breather, okay?"

He keeps on walking. I let go of his hand and grab his forearm to slow him down to a stop. "Grayson, chill out."

He looks at me, "okay."

"Look at how beautiful the stars are. They're so bright out here." The trees block the light coming from the restaurant Jaxon is at, and there aren't any other buildings for at least a mile each way.

A car wizzes by us. When our attention turns back to one another, Grayson takes a step closer to me. He holds my shoulders with his hands. My hands make their way to his biceps.

"Are you okay?"

All of a sudden, he kisses me. He kisses me under the stars like I'm his oxygen, and the world around us fades.

I'm snapped back into reality as I hear another car approaching. I break away from the kiss completely beaming at Gray.

We resume walking at a more steady pace. My hand is wrapped around his bicep. He leans down and kisses my forehead. This boy is nothing less than perfect.

We finally arrive to Brynn, Grayson jumps in the driver seat, me in the passenger seat, and we make our way back to Jaxon.

By the time we got back, Jake and Jasper are there as well. Grayson parks the car and the three of us get out to join the three of them.

Although it's shitty that Jaxon's car broke down. The six of us are having a great time. Jasper gets a Batman mask from out of his car and runs around in a childish manner. Jaxon and Jake are trying to assess the situation. Brynn has her blow up octopus on her head as a hat. Grayson is plating the pizza.

I sit back and admire how cars being people together. This group is something else and I wouldn't want it any other way.
