Jake called me up to tell me that there's a car show a couple of towns over, now he's on his way to pick me up so we can go check it out.

A short 25 minute drive later and we arrived.

Our county is rural, so there are a wide range of vehicles at the show. There's a handful of dirt track cars, there's classic cars, there's vintage farming equipment. As we continue walking further into the show, we get to the parking lot and see cars that aren't in the show - these cars are newer and slightly modded.

"Isn't that Grayson's car?" Jake motions to our left.

"Yeah." My heart feels like it stopped in my chest, I feel so caught off guard.

As if on cue, "hey guys!" Grayson's voice travels from behind us, Jake and I turn to face him.

"What's up," Jake greets him. I just smile shyly.

As Jake and Grayson continue to make small talk and gravitate towards each other, I remain slightly behind Jake in my own little world.

"I got a carbon hood if you guys want to come see, and the wrap is almost done." This snaps me back to reality.

"Carbon hood? Why not the wing like you wanted?" I chime in as he leads the way to his car.

"The shipping for the wing cost more than the wing itself." He shrugs.

As we approached his car I noticed the subtle color change he made. It's a black wrap with a dark blue pearl, it looks gorgeous when the sun hits it just right.

"It looks good." I comment.

He smiles, "the carbon hood really changed the look, right."

We playfully bicker back and forth. For the whole time we were together he wanted the carbon wing but I was adamant about the carbon hood being the better choice. I poke fun at him for doing what I wanted, he lunges at me trying to tickle my stomach and I throw my head back laughing. When I open my eyes, his eyes are locked on me and sparkling like they used to - I missed how he used to look at me, with so much admiration.

The boys are ready to go, Jake has Grayson drive us back to his car, I get the honor of sitting in the front seat.

When Jake and I are settled back in his car, Grayson rolls his window down and Jake follows suit. They both decide the night is still young, and I agree. Grayson suggests we go cliff jumping since he knows a spot. Grayson contacts Tristan, who gets the word out.

Grayson and I ran home to change. He meets Jake and I back at my moms house. Grayson walks through my front door without knocking like no time has passed between the two of us.

Aston runs up all happy to meet him.

"Woah! Who is this?" Grayson exclaims as Aston follows him to sit near me.

I start petting my boy as I explain how I adopted him the other day. As Grayson and I sit petting Aston, he brushes his hand against mine and I get butterflies.

Jake joins us in the living room and we all make our way outside to meet Dean.

Jake and Grayson sit on the trunk of Jake's car. I stand next to Grayson and as we are casually talking with the group he runs his hand down my bicep.

Jake calls Tristian to figure out what time we'll meet.

Grayson drives Dean, and Jake drives me. It's nearing 10pm when Tristian and unfortunately Darcy pull up.

Walking to the waterfall we get lost but everyone remains in good spirits.

Grayson, Dean, and I are the only ones in proper swimming attire.

As we make our way up the cliffside of the waterfall, Grayson assists me. Grayson jumps first, as he's been here before. Dean is being a chicken, so I go second.

As I resurface, I am absolutely beaming - I loved the thrill of it. I swim towards Grayson to where we can touch, he outstretches his hand to me, I take it and he pulls me to him, his hand instinctively resting on my waist. I get goosebumps where he touches me. As I look up at him I'm reminded of our true height difference and how perfect we fit together - how much I've missed his touch and presence.

The three of us jump a few more times, the rest of the group decided to head back to the cars right before our last jump.

When we're done, Grayson offers me his towel before drying off, to which I politely decline as I have my own.

Walking back to the car, Grayson and I walk mere inches from one another. I want nothing more than to grab his hand like that night at the train trestle, but I refrain.

Back at the cars, Grayson announces he's going to smoke up. He tries to convince me to join, I don't, but that doesn't stop him from pulling me to him while he prepares the bong for himself, Dean, and Tristian.

After smoking, the group dispurses.

I asked Grayson to text me when he's home safe. He does.
