I communicated with the headmistress after talking with Jake. And fortunately, I won time for our cause. I asked to stay longer in the hideout since we wanted to secure the perimeter further. She believed me and allowed the New Order team to linger for more days. Eventually, nighttime arrived; it was time to gather everyone inside the hideout and start the preparations for the upcoming phase of the scheme. It was only the beginning. It was vital for everyone to know our current circumstances since we won't have any support until The Supreme Leader receives my letter and answers me.
Everyone is here, listening to my explanation about everything we know about The Council, the institute, and the potential alliance with the demons. However, as I moved the digital map around to show my team the possible hiding places, my eyes wanted to look at Jake. It was becoming addicting, but now I craved to look into his eyes more than before.
"Listen up, everyone," I spoke, loosened up a bit to regain focus, and continued the explanation. "The headmistress still trusts me. Perhaps if I get close enough, I can obtain information about Governor Daehyun. However, I need you to play an important role in this plan: you must work together to find the secrets behind The Council."
"Yes, we understand, Cap," Sunghoon answered before looking at Sunoo. He appeared concerned. "What is it?" Sunghoon asked, confused.
"You sound like you'll sacrifice yourself," Sunoo pointed out. After he spoke, Jake and I looked at each other, causing our connection to activate.
"Oh, for the love of heavens!" I complained.
"Ah!" Jake frustratedly sighed while looking away.
"Wow!" Sunghoon expressed.
"What was that?" Sunoo asked, confused.
"I had enough! Enough!" I said, upset.
"Yes! Same!" Jake agreed while shaking his head.
"Sunoo, what's going on?" I asked my friend while looking at him desperately.
"How could I know?" Sunoo questioned, bewildered.
"You are a Visionist Angel. Tell me what you see when Jake and I look at each other," I told him before walking toward Jake. I took his hand and guided him beside Sunoo. "Okay, do it."
Jake nodded, sighed, and looked into my eyes. Immediately, our eyes glowed. "Wow!" Sunghoon took a step back, shocked.
"Oh! Okay, let me read your energy then," Sunoo spoke before activating one of his angelic runes. Then, he placed his hands closer to us while Jake and I stared at each other. "Hold hands," he ordered.
