Heeseung remained up regardless of the headmistress's exit; hence, I stood closer and noticed a letter in his hand. Who could that be from? I couldn't tell; however, I didn't peek to see since he turned around and realized I was beside him. Immediately, he hid the letter and appeared somewhat anxious.
"Eh, we must go before dusk. When we get there, use your fullest potential, and don't let demons kill you," Heeseung solemnly said before walking away from the field. Soon, Sunghoon and Sunoo approached me while staring at their leader.
"What was that about?" I said, confused.
"That's Heeseung's way of expressing his concerns," Sunghoon answered, causing me to look at him, shocked.
"Really?"
"Yeah! Heeseung doesn't know how to deliver his emotions; thus, the method he'll use is unexpected," Sunghoon explained before patting my back. "You must get ready. We'll leave soon!" He walked away while looking oddly joyful and followed by him was Sunoo.
"Is he always going to act this way?" I quietly questioned, still troubled by Heeseung's sudden attitude shift.
"Rest assured, hyung! Our leader doesn't act weird often," Sunoo said between chuckles.
"He's been acting odd since I met him. So, I don't know how to believe you," I mumbled before taking a deep breath, following the team after realizing that today would only get more peculiar.
The Angelic Realm. – Auris: Evermore Forest.
The inconvenience of Heeseung's attitude was notorious to me, but somehow, his teammates could pull anything off regardless of the unbalanced leader before them. We were supposed to enter the Evermore Forest before the Hollow Wing team did; however, Heeseung kept us waiting at the institute's entrance. Fortunately, his unplanned mishap didn't cost us too much daylight; we arrived just before afternoon hit.
I let my curiosity go wild once we began walking in the woods. I asked anything I could about the Newborn, the alleged angel who should've saved the angelic world once. Sunghoon and Sunoo explained the story behind their life and current situation; however, Heeseung constantly intervened to clarify specific details in the story. It annoyed me, and yet I still found his insight intriguing.
"Are you sure the Newborn is collaborating with the demons?" I curiously questioned.
"It's hard to tell; we heard from Idea City that they had multiple encounters with Ryong Ethan, the only son of The Ryong family. Nobody knows what occurred between them, though," Sunoo explained while we carefully moved forward.
