Heeseung gathered the team and took us to our lounge. Everyone silently sat around the room and waited for our leader's explanation. He seemed dazed—troubled and had the same expression when I first met him: earnest and distant. I wanted to read his thoughts and end with the uncertainty; however, I figured it was unjust for my teammates. Hence, I stood steady and patiently watched Heeseung; he checked nobody was outside our lounge before returning with the team.
"What's going on? Why the urgency?" Sunoo asked, confused.
"Did something bad happen?" Sunghoon eagerly questioned.
"There have been changes; they are definite and will occur tomorrow," Heeseung's sudden glance at me lasted a few seconds before he sighed and continued—. "The headmistress wants us to go to Boen City and assist The Supreme Leader."
"What?" Sunghoon's eyes widened while Sunoo and I looked at each other, perplexed.
"But the plan—"
"—Sunoo. I don't think it'll be possible to carry on with it; we'll need to speak with The Supreme Leader and sort this situation out," Heeseung interrupted Sunoo and suggested our following step; nonetheless, I was out of it. I can't think of anything but the Blackburry Forest—my home.
"How long are we staying there?" I asked, bewildered.
"There is no return date. The circumstances call for desperate moves, and this one was part of them," Heeseung reluctantly said before crossing his arms; he appeared anxious—. "Boen City got attacked by Shadow Demons. It's our job to assist The Supreme Leader with anything she asks."
"Shadow Demons?" I frowned.
"Evil beasts that hide in the dark places to capture their prays," Sunghoon explained before trembling—. "They are all black with a skeleton-type body, crawl, and have green eyes."
"Oh," I gasped, only imagining how horrible those demons could look in action.
"According to the headmistress, Shadow Demons are abducting angels, and there's no further information regarding the situation," Heeseung revealed, making everyone stare at him in shock.
"We are the pray," Sunghoon murmured in disbelief.
"We must be careful and protect each other; we don't know if those beasts are in our city right now," Heeseung soberly spoke before glancing at me; however, I didn't look back. I was lost, unsettled to leave this place and discover a new city I'd never seen. It intimidated me.
