Angelic Realm: Idea City.

JAKE

Everyone returned to Idea City with a different purpose from our first time here. I, for one, wasn't meeting The Council unwillingly, and now, everything appeared familiar. I wasn't afraid; I could trust angels again and had a new partner beside me. It was an odd feeling—a fresh emotion—but I remained unbothered and determined to execute the mission. We walked through the hallways, Heeseung and K leading the way. Unfortunately, we had to fight against the security preventing us from going to the assembly.

Eventually, we arrived at the meeting lounge, opened the doors, and halted the ongoing conversation between The Council members. Aera looked at us, perplexed, but the disconcerted look in her eyes intensified after seeing Junghwa with us.

"What's this? Why are you here?" Aera questioned, distressed.

"We came to stop this madness, Aera. You can't keep sending innocent angels to dangerous missions," I earnestly spoke as everyone entered the room—. "As the apprentice of a Guardian Angel, I must oblige with my nature and protect my equals."

"I'm doing what's best for the realm, son," Aera assured me.

"I'm not your son!" Her words triggered me, and I couldn't stop my reaction. Internally, I couldn't accept she was my mother, not after knowing the truth from Conah. My response shocked her, but nobody judged me or spoke; the room remained silent.

"Supreme Leader, with all due respect, The Council shouldn't approve a rescue mission. It would only cause more losses," K disclosed while glancing at all our superiors, communicating his concerns loud and clear.

"Do you have another suggestion, Captain K?"

"Bongcha, no—"

"No, Aera. The youths have a point. We continue playing Daehyun's games, and we only risk our angels more. A definite solution is our answer," Bongcha, a fierce-looking angel, spoke against Aera—finally, listening to coherent ideas.

"Governor Bongcha, I may not have a plan in mind, but our Phoenix Angel does," K spoke and bowed before standing beside me.

"What is your plan, young Phoenix?" Governor Minjun arose while everyone intently looked at me. Immediately, Heeseung stood closer, comforting me and easing my nerves.

"The Guardian Angel Conah taught me everything about a demon's anatomy. We studied all kinds and discovered most of them are weak against various mystical creatures found in the forests of our realm." After revealing my knowledge, Heeseung looked at me, unsettled. Everything I said was factual, but I kept it hidden from others, aware that my understanding of our world could bring attention from wicked angels.
