Angelic Realm: Idea City.

HEESEUNG

The city was empty—not even an angel in sight—only strategic institute teams watching the area. It wasn't simple to go through the streets; we had to hide and cautiously move forward. The Vision team took the lead, guided us to safety, and quickly gave us cover. They welcomed us to their newest hideout in Idea City since, according to them, the previous one got raided by Idea City's institute in an attempt to find The Newborn. – The castle-like structure was outside the main civilization area, beside the nearest forest of the realm.

Once everyone entered the safety zone, we introduced each other again, giving extra information to our newest allies. Likewise, K disclosed important details regarding The Supreme Leader's orders, allowing my team to comprehend the current situation. – There was more at stake than I anticipated—the danger was around the corner, yet my thoughts and prayers remained on Jake. We were at risk but found angels to lean on. Fatally, Jake only has Junghwa while surrounded by traitors and demon worshippers. His position was deathly, and The Supreme Leader's absurd plan felt like sending Jake to the grave.

"Are you sure nobody knows about this place?" Sunghoon questioned, concerned.

We gathered at the trophy room since the moonlight illuminated the area without using candles or electricity. It was the safest place to prevent getting caught during nighttime.

"Positive. This castle was from Jay's grandfather; he hid it well after his demise," K responded before taking a deep breath—. "Did Aera tell you about our situation?"

"She didn't say a word," I revealed, somewhat annoyed while remembering Aera's orders.

"I'm not surprised. The Supreme Leader has always been a secretive woman," K spoke before walking to a table at the corner of the room. He opened a hidden drawer under the surface and grabbed a small jar.

"What is that?" Sunoo asked, confused.

"That's a sample of The Newborn's blood," Nicholas answered, crossing his arms while K brought the jar to me. I took it, looked at the red liquid, and frowned.

"Why do you have this?" I questioned.

"Before our friends escaped the Angelic Realm, Jungwon, The Newborn, made a sacrifice. He cut off part of his wings to protect us from The Council, and the blood in that jar is from his wings," K explained and struggled between words. No tears were in his eyes, but a profound rage was evident in his gaze.

"When we found you, we wanted to enter the institute. We thought we would have enough angelic energy to track Jungwon and Jay," Niki disclosed, somewhat bewildered.
