The Angelic Realm. – Auris: Evermore Forest.

JAKE SIM

I looked at Heeseung, unsettled, still in the same position we landed. Soon, I noticed the glow in his eyes. It was a fiery red tone. Yet, our attention drifted upon hearing laughter beside us. Ethan.

"I will visit again, and when I do. Jake, please give me your final answer. We can't trust angels; remember that," Ethan severely spoke before vanishing from the site.

"And what do you know about angels?" I discretely scoffed at Ethan's statement.

"Jake," Heeseung looked at me, bewildered.

"Oh! Sorry," I flinched before standing up and quickly helping Heeseung.

"Thanks," Heeseung said and dusted himself off. "Why did you tackle me?" He asked, confused.

"Someone threw a dagger toward you," I answered before approaching the tree where the dagger stuck. However, before Heeseung walked to me, Sunghoon's voice blared the area.

"Cap! Jake!" Sunghoon shouted before the mist dispersed slowly. Soon, Sunoo and Sunghoon located us and ran to our position. "We saw Ethan! What happened?" Sunghoon immediately asked.

"Ryong escaped, but he came to get Jake. Fortunately, he didn't fall for his persuading words," Heeseung disclosed before looking at me, causing the same strange sensation to appear. Automatically, we adverted our glances, and I breathed heavily.

What's going on?

"Good. We cleared the area and didn't see Ryong anywhere," Sunoo informed Heeseung. They continued talking, but my attention drifted to the dagger on the tree. Intently, I overviewed every detail, causing my eyes to widen. Accidentally, I dropped my sword while looking at the dagger in disbelief.

"Jake?" Heeseung immediately approached me. "Hey!" He held my shoulder and moved me overly, attempting to capture my attention. "What happened?"

"The dagger. Someone used this dagger to kill you," I answered before shaking my head. I picked up my sword and attempted to regain my composure. Still, I couldn't believe this similarity. The dagger is identical to the one I found when Conah died.

"Someone helped Ethan Ryong to escape; there's no doubt about it now," Sunghoon disclosed while everyone looked at Heeseung, analyzing the dagger. Yet, after hearing Sunghoon's statement, anger began accumulating inside me. My hands became hotter again, and I couldn't control it. I was furious; somebody tried to kill Heeseung before me.

Heeseung pulled the dagger out of the tree and handed it to me. But I shook my head and looked at my hands. "I will melt it."

"Huh?" Sunoo looked at me, confused.
