I felt the wind breeze entering through the window and heard the birds singing peacefully. Instantly, I knew it was morning already; however, I didn't want to awaken and stand up since I sensed a warm touch on my hand. Still, I slowly opened my eyes and realized Heeseung was beside me. Somehow, we didn't notice we slept together while holding hands. His was on mine. Eventually, I was self-aware of the current situation; thus, my cheeks blushed, and my heart skipped a beat.
Regardless of the sudden moment, I was static while looking at Heeseung sleeping peacefully. Imperceptibly, I smiled and began admiring him, soon caressing his hair while trying not to wake him up. Yet, the moment didn't last long; Heeseung's eyes eventually began to open. But my hand remained under his while watching him awaken.
"Jake?" Heeseung's voice was hoarse and deep—. "Did I sleep here?"
I nodded—. "We both fell asleep after talking."
"Oh, I see," Heeseung spoke before rubbing his eyes with his right hand, soon noticing his left one on mine. He looked at me embarrassedly, but I only snickered in response after seeing his expression—.
"Oh! Jake, you are looking at me, and the connection didn't activate," Heeseung realized, stunned.
"That's because I don't want to connect with you; I only want to see your eyes as they are," I told Heeseung, making him frown, thoughtful.
"Are you saying that the connection won't activate if we don't give it that intention?" Heeseung questioned.
I shrugged my shoulders—. "Possibly."
Heeseung nodded before pressing my hand gently, making me avert my glance bashfully—. "Oh, and hyung. I think I know a place we can use as a hideout," I embarrassedly said.
"Really? Could you lead us there today?" Heeseung questioned.
"Sure," I hummed.
"Thank you, Jake," Heeseung softly said, taking me by surprise. I glanced at him and smiled subtly.

LEE HEESEUNG
The team gathered their belongings and exited the hideout without a second thought. Since we departed, Jake became the guide; he knew the forest better than anybody. Hence, we trusted him being at the front of the group; however, I kept my distance close. After all, I still believe there are demons around the area, and Jake getting hurt isn't in my plans today.
As expected, when we continued moving forward and deeper into the forest. Demons appeared from left to right. We managed to battle them without issues; nevertheless, it was still difficult to fight them without being the focus of attention. Everyone wanted to be cautious and move silently to the new hideout because we agreed on the possibility of being followed by Governor Daehyun's angels.
