Chapter 21
"Miss Wednesday..."
Wasn't she in Hawaii? When she saw me, she immediately dismissed their conversation and she playfully smiled as she walk towards me.
"Look who's here," she teased.
I should be the one saying that.
"Well, people change, Geñoso. You won't understand it because you never change."
Itinaas ko ang baso bago iyon ininom sa harap niya, "You're right. Hindi ako nagbago. I'm still the same."
"Same what? The weak, crying bitch, coward and worst mother of the year?"
I chuckled. "How about you, Miss Wednesday? Aren't you still the gold digger slut, meddler, and manipulator shit?"
"I am working right now. So, do not interfere." she whispered.
"What kind of work? 'Yong makasungkit ba ng matandang bilyonaryo ngayong gabi?" I whispered back.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to welcome you all to this exclusive event. I am honored to have you all here tonight, amongst some of the most successful individuals."
He gestured to the room, filled with well-dressed people sipping on champagne and chatting amongst themselves.
"You know, I wish I could do that, Geñoso. Sayang nga lang may trabaho akong dapat unahin. Kilala mo naman ako, I follow the rules unlike you," she continued.
The host's words were met with nods and murmurs of agreement from the guests. Habang kaming dalawa ay may sariling mundo.
I nodded playfully at her. "Sorry, I don't like being ordered. I am not a dog like you."
She sarcastically laughed, "That's why you are a loser. You don't know how to bark."
"See you around," she mouthed as she walk away from me.
"I just check the whole area.
"Medyo..."
Tumango ako. We need to be careful because it's still not completely safe for her. To be honest, she shouldn't be attending this party. Her past might come back to haunt her. However, since Mr. Yvarez is out of town, she has to attend for the sake of their family's reputation.
