Chapter 27
[Palagi by TJ Monterde is playing]

I watched from afar, smiling softly as my former co-member, friend, and brother, Dreg, got married. I missed him and our times together. But, I wasn't ready to see them yet, so I stayed back, feeling happy and nostalgic from a distance.

Ang bilis ng panahon.

"You want wine?" Kuya said as he followed the direction of my eyes.

I caught Fin's gaze, enjoying the wedding celebration. A bittersweet smile formed on my face as I realized they were all happy without me. With a heavy heart, I decided it was time to walk away.

Unknown:

Hi, this is Mr. and Mrs. Monreal. We've received your gift. My husband asked if you know us. Nonetheless, we are very thankful. We would love to meet you, whoever you are. :)

I don't want to do it alone. I need my Kuya Zack, but he's so busy. We have been here for days, but I can't seem to spend much time with him.

I was in the garden, watering the plants and humming to myself when the gate bell rang. Without thinking, I asked the guard to open it, thinking it was my brother. But when I saw the unexpected person standing there, I was shocked and intrigued.

I tried to speak, but nothing came out. It felt like I couldn't breathe, and tears started to fill my eyes. Just as the silence grew heavier, another person suddenly interrupted us, breaking the tension.

"N-Nanay! Nanay! B-Bumalik ka!"

"A-Anak..." I held him in a tight hug, not wanting to ever let go of him again.

"Nanay ko! Nanay!" he cried hard as he leaned on me completely, his hands trembling.

"I-I'm so sorry.

When I regained my composure, I looked at Hyde. He held my cheeks with both his hands, pressing our foreheads together, while our child was in the middle, hugging me.

"I'm sorry..." I whispered to him. Nawalan na ako ng lakas.

"Shsh. Now that you're here, you won't leave us again, will you?" he whispered back.

Umiling ako at ngumiti. "Hindi na, Hyde. I won't vanish again"

I watched as Hyde gently wiped away my tears, our eyes locked in a silent. Eventually, our son, exhausted from the emotions and fell asleep in my arms.
