Chapter 30
It still feels like a yesterday. I'm officially a Fargo now, gamit ko na ang last name ng asawa ko. I even changed my name on my birth certificate. But, now I'm Rob Erish Yvarez Fargo.
Umalis na kami sa bahay. Kuya Zack and I agreed that the Yvarez mansion would be his. But Hyde told me we would visit every month.
We were planning to stay in the province. But, I don't want to transfer Rhyden right away.
But a shocking news came that shattered my son's happiness.
A nine-year-old child was kidnapped and found dead inside a car that was deliberately blown up by an unknown person. It was Aria.
"How?! Paano ako kakalma—shit! Hyde, those bastards! Tangina. Paano nila nagawa sa bata—"I couldn't finish my sentence, my legs giving way beneath me as I sank to my knees.
Hyde was beside me in an instant, his arms wrapping around me, "I-I'm so sorry. Isipin mo ang anak natin. Kailangan nating maging malakas para sa kaniya..."
Yumakap ako sa kaniya at doon umiyak ng umiyak, "H-Hyde... W-Walang hiya sila. Hindi na sila naawa. P-Papatayin ko sila. T-Tangina, si Aria..."
He held me close, whispering words of comfort, but his voice was tight with grief, his eyes reflecting the same raw anger and pain that was consuming me.
"I know, love," he murmured, his voice rough with emotion. "I know."
I pleaded with Hyde to stay with our son and not let him leave the house. I asked him to turn off the TV and keep any gadgets away from him that might give him access to the news. They know I wouldn't be okay, especially my son.
"Rob, anong balak mo?
I closed my eyes, my foot tapping rhythmically against the floor. I needed to think straight.
"Hayaan mo siyang magdesisyon, Dreg. Malapit sa pamilya nila ang bata. If you ask me, I wouldn't let those bastards see the morning light. But, this isn't about me." sumandal si Arc sa sofa habang nakatingin sa akin.
Dreg nodded and turned to Fin, "Anong balita sa mga Cabrillas?"
The cops said the kid had been missing for two weeks before the whole thing went down." gulat akong napatingin nang marinig ang sinabi ni Fin.
