Chapter 21

Athalia's POV

"Ikaw sa boys part tapos ako naman sa girls." natatawang sambit ni Eulalia habang pinapatugtog ang paboritong kanta niya sa loob ng aking kotse.

She insisted that I should be the one taking her to school.

Car jamming was her thing.

We sang till the highest notes even though my voice cracked. Eulalia would just laugh at me instead.

"Alam mo ba ate sobrang daming pogi sa school!" malakas na tili niya na ikinangiwi ko.

"Hindi bat masyadong bata ka pa para sa mga ganyan?"

"Ate! Hindi kaya! I'll mature sooner later so don't worry. Besides I won't enter a relationship without you knowing. Hindi kagaya mo!" she scoffed in disbelief.

"With Caleb?" innocenteng tanong ko.

"Yeah! Hindi mo manlang sinabi sa'kin na couple na kayo. It hurts ate," she faked tears habang nakahawak sa dibdib.

Napatawa ako. "Arte mo beh."

Napangiwi siya sa sinabi ko bago napahamukipkip.

"Live long sa petchay." sabi niya na ikinalaki nang mata ko.

I was about to scold her when she immediately kissed my cheeks and bid her goodbye as soon as I parked infront of her school gate.

"Si Athalia? Huy hala ang bebe ko di ko makita!" agad akong napalingon ng marinig ang panic sa boses ni Caleb.

Lumingon lingon siya sa paligid, nang mapansin niyang hindi ako makita ay mas lalo siyang mangiyak ngiyak na naglalakad sa gitna ng karamihan na parang batang inaapi. Inaano ko ba 'to?

May kung ano siyang sinabi kay Lucas habang naiiyak na kakalingon sa paligid. Nakita ko kung paano siya inambahan ng suntok ni Lucas at inupakan. Tinuro ni Lucas ang direksyon ng kinatatayuan ko dahilan para mapalingon sa'kin si Caleb.

Nanlaki ang mata niya ng makita ako at dali-daling tumakbo na parang bata.

As the sunlight danced through his messy, bouncy mullet cut hair, his deep hooded, green eyes sparkling with excitement drew me in. His sharply-defined yet gentle features, including his soft yet defined jawline and plump, rosy cheeks, were further enhanced by his soft chinito skin.

His pink, innocent-looking lips that tempted me to lean in for a kiss. His height and strength were intimidating, yet attractive at the same time.

And while many may have been intimidated by his towering stature, Caleb is just a big baby inside. He was like a true magnet, attracting everything and anyone within his reach.

Everyone wants him, but despite all of the stars in the sky... his eyes were fixed on mine.

"Boss Athalia, akala ko iniwan mo na ako!" mabilis niyang sabi at mahigpit na yumakap.

Hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti sa ginagawa niya. He's being extra clingy recently than usual.

Watching romantic scenes on TV usually made me cringe, but when Caleb would do the same in front of me, it felt... natural, and not cringey at all.

It was like I was seeing a completely different side of him, one that was sweet and loving instead of the goofy and playful side that I was used to.

There is a part of me that liked seeing him in this soft and romantic light, and I couldn't help but blush.

He's just too enough for me.

"Hey," bati ko kay Eulalia ng sunduin siya galing mall.

Hindi ko mapigilang mag taas ng kilay nang makita ang shopping bags na dala niya.
