Athalia's POV

I was pacing back and forth while bitting my lower lip as I try to call Fernan who is currently cannot be reached through the phone.

Hindi siya sumasagot!

"Argh!" I groaned in annoyance and plopped myself on the sofa inside the lounge room of HQ.

"Fernan is not answering. Sumama ba siya kayla Maelani papuntang Cebu?!"

"Yeah. Iyon ang narinig ko last week. Akala ko ba alam mo na?"

"I didn't okay?! I was busy following Caleb in the past few days!"

"Duh, cuz he's mine?"

"Pero hindi iyon ang iniisip niya." he shrugged and focused more on the magazine. He wasn't even looking at me while talking!

"Stop sulking. You looked like a spoiled brat with that attitude."

"Hey!" I snapped at ipiniling ang ulo sa direksyon niya.

"Parisa Seraphina Hearst, huh? Her name is all over the magazine.

She looked familiar.

I sighed deeply and flipped back the few strands of my hair that were falling down to my cheeks.

"Gusto ko pumuntang Cebu," mahinang bulong ko. Hindi rin nagsalita si Damascus.

"Bakit ba halos lahat kayo mga Cebuano? Well except for Maelani, she's from Baler, Aurora." sabi ko sa sarili.

Can't you remember when you offered me a job when you noticed that my company was facing bankruptcy, hindi ko makakalimutan iyon. And in return for your help, you asked me to recruit other members.

It was just an accidentally encounter with Damascus who is soaked wet under the rain. He looked miserable as people were looking for shelter from the sudden rain while he just stood there in the middle, plopping himself with his head bowed to the ground, slowly being drenched in the rain.

I offered him some money shares from our company.

At a young age, father already introduced me to the world of money, power, and business. Those were the times I already swore to myself that I want to build something for myself.

It was my first successful transaction in drug dealing that I decided to celebrate it at Tops in Cebu. That's where I met Damascus.

He was the first person who helped me throughout the black market business. Damascus also is the reason why La Suera has members that turned into a fraternal alliance organization. Mostly of his recruited members are big time businessmen and elite people.
