After being left alone and injured at the ice rink, Scott took refuge at the veterinary clinic, hoping that his employer would be there. When Deaton saw his wounds, he knew immediately that they had been caused by the Alpha, since they weren't healing. While he was disinfecting the wounds, he started asking boy questions, trying to figure out why Derek had hurt him and what had happened with Ophelia, finally the doctor asked Scott if he could tell Rory to come to him as soon as possible, because he had prepared a place to help her control her powers

"How do you know all this?" asked the boy clinging to the counter of the room while the vet continued to plug his wounds

"Just know that I'm familiar with this world and that I can heal people like you. But that's something different," he tried to explain the man to the boy, without stopping to tamponade his wounds and pointing his gaze at the operating table
"Do you know who did it?" Scott looked at the operating table where there was the body of a man, a hunter with very deep and long wounds all over his chest, he turned up his nose, it was a horrible image

"No, but the Argents, they must have a book or something written about everything they found and hunted." Deaton thought aloud, but suddenly stopped, he raised his head and looked at the entrance door: a light, the headlights of a car and the sound of tyres braking on the gravel in front of the clinic. Scott immediately moved and managed to hide behind a wall near the warehouse, where they had food for the animals, so as to hear what was said inside Deaton and the Argent

The man explained to the hunters that the cut on the back of the victim's neck was not intended to kill but to hit the spine, and since it was imbued with a paralyzing toxin, it had inhibited all motor functions of the hunter, that he could not defend himself in any way

While Scott was eavesdropping on the horrifying conversation between Deaton and the hunters, Stiles had taken his beloved Jeep to the mechanic since Erica had enjoyed taking off a piece of the engine

As the boy complained about the mechanic, trying to be clever and to increase the price for repairs, he decided to go to the bathroom, but touching the door handle a slimy substance soaked his hands

The boy, a little disgusted, complained trying to clean his hands on the sweatshirt, until when he was writing a message on the phone, noticed that he could not move his fingers well, began to shake, the phone fell from his hands, agitated looked around and saw a beast, like a giant lizard, on his Jeep, right above the mechanic

This beast attacked the guy who was working on the car, hitting him in the neck and then, locking him under the car, slowly descending on him, crushing him. Stiles tried to move, but inexplicably paralyzed, he fell to the ground, tried in vain to call 911 but when he managed to dial the number, everything was already over and the beast had disappeared without trace

After the arrival of the sheriff and the ambulance the boy had called Rory and Scott, but the friend had to first meet with Allison since they had already made peace and solved the things that had not been said and had left outstanding, then he would reach them as soon as possible

When Rory arrived at the scene, she didn't even have time to get out of the car, and the boy rushed in, saying absolutely nothing.

The girl looked at him a little worried, trying to understand how he was and what he had seen in there

"Are you all right?" she asked, she had no idea of what the boy, sitting next to her in the car, could've seen and certainly it had not been such a cheerful spectacle

"Yes," the boy sighed, looking down at his hands, so the girl leaned towards him, grabbed his hands between hers which were a little smaller

Stiles looked up at Rory's, who smiled timidly at him, then they heard knocking the boy's side open the window, so she opened the car, allowing Scott to get in
