It was now evening and while Ophelia was with Isaac, who had not fully recovered, Lydia and Rory had found themselves at the latter's house to study

As the girls read, their arms were next to each other and Rory noticed something extremely strange: their two bruises were perfectly identical and she suspected that it was a symbol

"Rory, are you listening to me?" Lydia interrupted, who hadn't noticed their bruises, so Rory pointed out that detail

"Why do you think it means anything?" asked the red-haired girl not understanding why her friend was stubbornly saying it was a symbol at all costs

"That girl wasn't just looking for Ophelia, she had to find her, she needed to find her. This symbol must mean something," Rory told her in a resolute tone as she continued to observe their arms forming a pattern she still couldn't explain

"Do you think Ophelia knows the symbol?" asked Lydia who began not to understand why that woman was looking for Ophelia, she did not understand the link between her friend and the symbol on her arm

"I don't know, but we have to tell her" decreed Rory, after which the girls resumed their study and later at night, Lydia greeted her friend who was waiting for Stiles to pick her up at home, since she had to go with him to a birthday party of his childhood friend

Once arrived at the party, the two were greeted by the birthday girl who greeted Stiles with a warm hug, which the boy reciprocated

"Hi there, Heather. This is Rory, my girlfriend" Stiles introduced Rory to her friend who held out her hand to greet her, then the girl, hearing a song she really liked, ran away to her friends and music

"I think she's a bit drunk," Stiles commented, passing a hand behind the back of his neck and smiling at Rory, who gently wrapped her arms around his neck, then printing a tender kiss on his lips

Rory was in her room, that was a dark day because of the cloudy weather, but the room occasionally lit up red. The girl was disconsolate, she had tried to calm down in every possible way, but it was not working, it was as if 'exploding' had destroyed the wall that first managed to contain her powers and now, they were the ones who had control over her, they used every memory she had, to keep her in control through her emotions

She also happened to wake up in the middle of the night  screaming in tears lit by red bundles that lighted everything around her bed, this happened mainly when she relived that night

"Rory, I'm here. How did you sleep?" Stiles' voice awakened the girl from her thoughts, she heard the boy sit and lean his back against the door of her room

"Stiles, it's pouring outside" she remarked, looking out of her bedroom window, the droplets on the glass did not come down slowly, but they were always faster and remained not very steady on the glass

"I didn't walk, baby. And then I have an umbrella" Rory did not understand if the boy wanted to make a joke or not, but he managed to make her sketch a smile, something that did not happen often lately

"You're crazy," she remarked, realizing later, that the boy could hear her very well. In fact he heard her laugh, Rory kept smiling, she had always found Stiles' laugh very contagious, so she laughed too

"Hey! I heard you! You laughed!" The boy immediately cheered up on the other side of the door, laughing in turn, the girl shook her head, amused. Suddenly there was a bang: a blast. Rory, taken aback, threw a ray against the door of the room, she stared at the dark spot she had made, as if she had burned that point of the door
