When I woke up, I wasn't in my cell.
The room was bright- too bright- and I didn't recognize the walls.
I pushed the thin sheets away and stood, feet cold against the tile.
The door opened.
"Congratulations" a man said, stepping inside.
"You lived through the experiments." He said
"Experiment?" I echoed. My memory fuzzy.
He smiled faintly.
"You've gained powers. We're not sure which yet, but testing begins today" he said
"Powers?" I whispered
"Yes. Now, let's go" he said simply.
They tested me for hours. Machines hummed, needles burned, voices whispered in languages I couldn't understand.
"She's....remarkable" one of the scientists breathed.
"What abilities did she gain?" The Hydra leader asked.
The scientist smiled.
"Telekinesis, Telepathy, Energy Blasts, Forcefields, Mental Manipulation" he said
"Incredible" the leader murmured.
"She'll be unstoppable once trained" he said
They brought me to the training room.
Without warning, he threw a knife straight at my face.
I gasped and flinched-
But the blade stopped.
It hovered inches from my eyes, wrapped in a soft blue glow. My hands were glowing the same color.
The leaders lips curled into a grin.
"One down. Four to go" he said
He didn't let me rest for over twenty-four hours. Every time I failed, I was shocked, hit, or mocked.
Every time I succeeded, they only raised the bar higher.
But after a while, it became..... easy.
Natural.
As if I'd always known.
The final test was force fields. My body trembled, blood on my knuckles, my mind spinning.
"I can't" I panted.
"You can't? Then i suppose I'll have to kill you" he said amused.
He raised a gun and fired.
I screamed and threw up my hands. The bullets fell feet from my face, sparking against a shimmering blue shield.
The leader laughed softly.
"Good. Wasn't that so hard?" He said
"Take her back to her cell." He ordered.
"Tomorrow, she trains again. Then she goes back in ice" he said
The guards dragged me away.
I collapsed the moment they shut the door.
