All four of us launched forward as the villains did the same- the fight starting all over again.
"Okay, Spider-Men- sapphire" Peter called out, giving me a quick look. "Sandman's first." He said
"I'm gonna lead him inside the statue" Peter 2 said, already moving.
"I'll meet you at the top" Peter 3 added.
At the perfect moment, Peter threw it across the air. "Peter 3!" He shouted.
"I got it!" He called, catching it midair- but max's blast sent him flying backyards.
"Guys, I'm at the top! I need the cure!" Peter 2 yelled
"I'm coming" I shouted. I grabbed the cure with my powers and threw it up toward him. He caught it, activated it, and in seconds, the sand started to grow smaller.
I flew over and joined the three Spider-men as we watched Max's power surge and pulse with light.
"How do we stop him?" Peter 2 asked.
"I've never seen him this powerful." Peter 3 muttered.
"It's the arc reactor. We gotta get it off him." Peter said, locking eyes in it.
Max's eyes glowed. "You're not gonna take this away from me" he said
Peter fried a web at the reactor- "That's not gonna work." Max growled, blasting a wave of electricity straight at us.
"Okay- We gotta do this up close. Peter 2 go right. Peter 3, go left. Elizabeth, distract him. On me." Peter called.
I nodded and took to the air, firing blasts of blue energy to pull Max's attention. Lightning shot past me, close enough to burn.
"Hey! You missed me!" I yelled.
He just glared and shot at me again. The others tried to move in, but before Peter 2 could reach him, a metal arm swung out and grabbed him midair.
"Leave them. They're mine." Otto said.
"I don't need your help. I got it just fine" Max snapped
"Dr. Octavius- no." Peter 2 said softly, trapped in his grip.
Otto ignored him, I got ready to move in, then his arm grabbed the reactor on Max's chest. "What are you doing? Get it off of me." Max yelled.
Otto's tentacle grabbed the cure and pressed it against the reactor. The energy flickered green, and max's power faded away.
"There you go." Otto said quietly.
But then I caught motion behind them- Ned and MJ running through a glowing portal, the lizard right in their tales.
"MJ!" Peter shouted. MJ threw him the cure, and Peter stabbed the lizard with it. The creature roared and began shifting back into a man.
