It's been six months since that whole "incident" but I've never felt more at home.
Tony left to have more of a life with pepper. Cling retired and went back to his family. Thor returned to Asgard right after Sokovia, and Bruce went MIA.

We got a call for a mission in Lagos, and Steve told Wanda and I to get ready. It was our first real mission since becoming Avengers.

"All right, what do you see?" Steve asks through comms.

I sat at a table with Wanda, both of us drinking coffee.

"Standard beat cops. Small station. Quiet street.
It's a good target." Wanda answers

"There's an ATM in the south corner, which means..." Steve trails off, waiting us to finish.

"Cameras." I answer.

"Both streets are one way." Steve says.

"So, compromised escape routes." I add, taking a sip of my coffee.

"Which means our guy doesn't care about being seen, he isn't afraid to been seen, he isn't afraid to make a mess on the way out. You see that Range Rover halfway up the block?" Steve asks

I glance behind me.
"Yeah, the red one? It's cute." Wanda says

"Very cute- and very bulletproof" I add.

"Which also means private security, which means more guns, which means more headaches for somebody. Probably us." Nat says.

"You guys know Wanda and I can move things with our minds, right?" I ask.

"Looking over your shoulder needs to become second nature." Nat replies, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Already is for me" I shrug.

"Anybody ever tell you you're a little paranoid?"
Sam chimes in.

"Not to my face. Why? You hear something?" Nat teases.

"Eyes on target, folks. This is the best lead we've had on Rumlow in six months. I don't want to lose him." Steve says, his tone serious.

"If he sees us coming that won't be a problem.
He kind of hates us." Sam says

"Sam, you see that garbage truck? Tag it." Steve orders.

"Give me x-ray." Sam tells redwing.
"The truck's loaded for max weight. And the driver's armed." He says

"It's a battering ram." Nat mutters.

"Go now." Steve says.

"What?" Wanda asks, but I'm already up and moving.

"He's not hitting police." Steve answers her.

Right then, the truck slams through the gate and guards start running out, guns in hands.
