The world around us was chaos. Fire, steel, blood- The roar of an army colliding with another. We charged forward as one, the weight of everything we'd lost pushing us on. Every blast, every hit, every scream- I tore through it all, sending creatures flying with waves of energy.
"Cap, what do you want me to do with this damn thing?" Clints voice crackled through the comms, strained and panicked.
"Get those stones as far away as possible!" Steve shouted, blocking a hit with his shield.
"No! We need to get them back where they came from." Bruce yelled.
"No way to get them back. Thanos destroyed the quantum tunnel." Tony cut in.
"Hold on! That wasn't our only time machine." Scotts voice came next.
Somewhere in the distance, I heard a faint blare of a car horn.
"Anyone see an ugly brown van out there?" Cap called.
"Yes! But you're not going to like where it's parked!" Someone yelled back.
"Scott, how long you need to get that thing working?" Tony asked.
"Uh, maybe ten minutes." He said
"We're on it, Cap." Came another woman's voice.
I turned, throwing another blast that sent a line of people flying, when I heard it-
"Elizabeth!"
My heart stopped. I spun around.
"Peter?" I whispered.
He was standing there, breathing hard, the same nervous look on his face. Tears burned in my eyes as I ran to him, crashing into his arms.
"Peter" I choked out, holding him like he'd disappear again.
He was trembling. "Lizzie, i don't- I don't know what happened. One minute we were in titan, and the next, everyone was gone. You were gone" he ranted.
"I know" I whispered, trying to steady my voice. "It's okay. You're here now" I said
"I missed you so much" I cried.
"I missed you too" he said.
The world didn't stop for us. It never did. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw T'Challa getting crushed by debris, still gripping the gauntlet.
"Go" I said, and Peter nodded, taking off as I followed.
The moment one of thanos side kicks slammed T'Challa down again, I was there- slamming into the alien with a burst of blue light.
"I'm getting real sick of you man" I muttered.
He sneered. "Your powers-" he started.
"-are no match for yours, right? Yeah, yeah, I've heard it before. Let's put it to the test" I grinned.
