"So," Riley started as she regained her breath, taking a large sip out of her bottle of water. Jay glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, doing little jumps in place right before throwing his fists against the punching bags. "Second week back to work, and I think we're doing well."
Jay smiled at her, pausing his movements for a second so he could answer. "Yeah, for sure. We're even making time to work out."
"We're good at this." She pointed between the two of them, smiling widely at the realisation that they made a very good team. Riley was well aware of it before, but now that they'd been juggling their careers, their family life and everything in between. They had gotten into the routine of dropping off Aurora at the daycare in the morning and picked her up by diner time. If they were caught on a case, only one of them would get off and go home - taking turns to do it. It was going well.
The couple was also considering hiring a nanny for instances like this because they were aware that eventually Voight would ask for them both to be present at work at all times. Their relationship wasn't supposed to get in the way of their work and they'd agreed to it when Voight made the exception for them. So Jay and Riley agreed they'd find another way eventually, but since Aurora was so young this was the was it had to be for now.
"Hell yeah, we are." Jay chuckled, high fiving her before getting back to his workout so they could get done in time to head into work. Riley smiled before getting back to her own workout as well. From time to time, she glanced over at him and observed him. She took in the way his muscles flexed each time his fists reached to hit the punching bag. His skin glowed from the sweat, wiping his forehead from time to time with his wrist. She would never get enough of the sight.
And from the corner of his eyes, Jay could definitely see her admiring him. As much as he loved it and wanted to gloat about it, he couldn't help but do the same. When he first met her, he never thought he could find her anymore attractive - but man was he wrong. Jay couldn't have enough of the way her lips parted from time to time as she exhaled, the way her legs stretched making her ass stick out slightly more than usual in her sports leggings. To him, Riley was so attractive he had trouble even concentrating on his workout. His eyes went up to her face where he could see a few strands of hair falling on the sides of her face. A slight coat of sweat covered her skin, too, as she finished her last round of set ups. Her eyes found his which brought him out of his daydream.
"You done?" She asked softly, bending down to grab her things. Jay watched her as he grabbed his own, silently following her to the locker rooms. He glanced around the round, finding it to be almost empty. With a smirk on his lips, he tugged on Riley's arm to pull her into the men's locker room with him. She gasped, "Jay, this is the men's locker room!" The woman exclaimed as silently as she could - despite her surprise.
"I know," He spoke in a hushed tone, pulling her to the showers after putting down their things in his locker. "Which is why," He mumbled against her lips as his arms wrapped around her waist to pull her closer to him, "You're going to have to be quiet."
