As Jay walked out of the hallway and into the living room, he saw Riley lying on the floor in front of the television, her knees bent with her feet flat on the floor. He chuckled, "What are you doing?""Pelvic floor exercises." She told him, continuing her movements. She'd been doing it ever since she knew she was pregnant and Jay knew, but he thought she told him she'd stop once she reached the fourth month for pregnancy. "This is my last time doing it this way."
Apparently she read somewhere that past the fourth month, doing exercises whilst lying down on the floor could cause blood flow problems for her and the baby so she was going to figure out another way to keep herself active.
"All right," He chuckled, "Do you want some breakfast?"
She gasped, "Yes, please!" Riley explained, a huge smile on her lips. She continued her exercises while Jay went to the kitchen, getting everything ready for breakfast. Riley took a shower and quickly got ready as soon as she was done with her light workout. She wore leggins with a tank top, pulling one of Jay's flannel over it.
She practically skipped back to the kitchen, happily showing off her small bump to Jay. "Look! Baby bean is starting to show!" Her bump wasn't as big as she thought it would be at 16 weeks, but it still showed so she was happy about it.
Jay lightly chuckled, putting a hand on her bump before leaning down to kiss her forehead. "And she's making you look even more beautiful than I ever thought possible."
She playfully rolled her eyes, grabbing her plate from him and made her way to the kitchen island. They took a seat next to each other, digging in right away. "Is it okay if I ride with you today? Voight said I could come in."
"Of course. I will gladly drive you, my lady." He jokingly spoke, a small smile on his face. She chuckled, thanking him. They finished their food and Riley suggested to do the dishes herself while he went to get ready for work. He kissed her head before walking off, leaving her in the kitchen.
Around fifteen minutes later, they were ready to go. The couple grabbed the rest of their thing and walked out of their apartment. Jay, being the gentleman that he is, helped her jump in the truck before making his way around to sit in the driver's seat. It wasn't long before they arrived at the district, walking in through the front door. As usual, they waved and greeted Sergeant Platt, who was way too busy to tease them. Jay buzzed them up, keeping his walk slow so Riley wouldn't rush up the stairs to try and keep up with him.
"Hey! My favorite pregnant lady!" Adam exclaimed, raising both arms in the air to greet her with a hug. She laughed, walking into his arms.
After they found Jay, no one really knew what to say to Riley. They were more than glad to see Jay, but they hadn't realized how not telling her hurt her. They didn't say a word at first because they didn't want to want to scare her - especially after Voight dropped the information of her being pregnant. The team wanted her safe and they all knew that if she knew she'd want to be involved. She ended up being involved anyway but that was out of her control.
