Riley walked in the kitchen, tucking her shirt in her jeans as she stopped in front of Jay across the kitchen island. "Hey, are you not coming in?" She asked him, since she saw that he didn't grab his service weapon from their safe.
"Oh, no. I got a bank run to do for Brianna's operation and then I'll be in." He told her, offering a light smile. "Well, don't you look pretty."
She hummed, stepping across the island to wrap her arms around his waist. "Glowing for an 11 weeks pregnant woman, aren't I?" He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in towards him.
"Hell yeah." He whispered, pressing his lips against hers as the both of them smiled - making it break off. "I better get going, I'll see you later though. Be safe."
"You too,"

Jay sat in the employees lounge, eating sushis for lunch as he waited for Terry to come in so they could do the bank run. He heard heels clicking from behind him and saw Brianna walking towards him as he took a quick glance over his shoulder. "Hey. I gotta say, you run a very nice operation."
"Oh, come on, you've never got food catered to the district?" She asked, leaning against the side of the table next to where Jay was sitting.
"Yeah, once." He answered, his tone making the woman tilt her head to the side in confusion. "This old man, he left his inheritance of $530 to the district, so we got Al's Beef for everybody."
"Oh, gosh. Being cops, I would hope that you wouldn't have to pay for anything."
"Used to be that we didn't. Now you get written up for taking a stick of gum."
"Lis, Brianna and Jay." Terry walked up behind Jay with his pregnant wife, quickly introducing them.
"Hi."
"Listen, I just came from Chicago Med. We're having a boy." He announced, holding up a sonogram for them to see.
"Congratulations. Congrats." Jay stood up and hugged Terry, having grown really close to the man in the past few weeks they'd worked together. He reminded him of Mouse.
"Oh, wow. That's amazing." Brianna spoke at the same time, holding the sonogram in her hands as she looked at it.
"Thanks, man."
"That's beautiful. Oh!" Brianna handed the sonogram back over to Lis, congratulating her before stepping out of the room to get ready.
"Thank you." Lis thanked Brianna, instantly turning over to Jay. "You have kids?"
"No, uh, not yet." Jay answered, even though he was itching to say yes. Riley and him agreed that they weren't going to tell anyone yet - not before she hit week 12.
"Are you married?" She sweetly asked again, trying to get to know him a little better since she knew he spent a lot of time with his husband yet she'd never seen him. Terry spoke very highly of him so she already liked him.
