"Marijuana?" Riley asked Jay as they walked into the precinct. "What's Mouse getting you into this time?"
"He says it's medical marijuana, and it's perfectly legal in Chicago as of six months ago." He pointed out, telling her what Mouse told him over the phone earlier.
"All right, I'm just not so sure, Jay."
"Look, I just want to set some money aside to get ready, you know." Jay trailed off, putting his coat on the back of his chair as he shot her a look. "It's a high-paid gig, the owner's totally legit. She has an MBA from Northwestern."
"Who's this? Who we got?" Riley asked, not answering Jay's last statement as she noticed Hailey holding up a picture of a man in front of her face.
"Here's somebody you never thought would get mixed up in drugs. Adam Ames. 61 years old. He's got no criminal record, not even an overdue library book. He's married with three adult children. He's a respected professor at Central Chicago University where he teaches social ethics, whatever that's about." Hailey presented as Riley sat down on a desk next to where Jay was standing up reading the file.
"I'm guessing it's not about running ten kilos of heroin into Canada." Riley jokingly said.
"Yeah, doesn't sound like he has financial problems. The guy lives in River Forest." Jay read out of the file.
"Professor could be getting played." Kevin suggested.
"Yeah, remember that guy that got killed bringing bullets in from Canada? Turned out his nephew put the load in the trunk. Remember that?"
"We're not gonna charge Ames yet but just hold him. We'll see if we can scare out the big fish." Voight told the team, walking towards his office. "Lean on the trap guy. Go question the wife."

"We've been trying to reach him. We didn't know what happened. I mean, there's obviously been some kind of mistake." The wife told Riley and Jay, walking further into her home with the detectives following closely behind.
"Ma'am, if there's been a mistake, it looks like your husband made it." Riley pointed out.
"He said he was going to Canada." Jay subtly questioned.
"He teaches a seminar at Windsor University."
"Have you noticed any unusual behavior lately?"
"My husband hasn't changed in 30 years, and trust me, he is not a criminal." She added, getting slightly agitated by their questions.
"Do you work, Mrs. Ames?" Riley asked further, looking around the house. "It's just a very nice house on a professor's salary."
"I volunteer. The money comes from my side of the family. This is a mistake. You have the wrong man." The woman said right as the front door shut, the couple's daughter walking in.
