Riley awoke some time later in a hospital bed, Jay sitting on a chair by her side with his head buried between his shaking hands. Her throat felt groggy and she was slightly dizzy, but more than anything she remembered what happened.

"Where's Kim?" Her voice startled Jay, whose head straightened right away to look at her. He immediately reached out for her, hugging her as he towered over her carefully. "Where's Kim?"

"We haven't found her yet." Jay admitted, pulling away to look at her. "They're still working on it."

"We should go." Riley said, trying to stand up.

"Woah, woah, woah." Jay held her back, trying to get her to settle back on the bed. "Riley, you're not in shape to go anywhere else than this bed."

"He missed, right?" She cleared her throat as Jay looked at her confused, "He missed when he shot me, didn't he?" Jay nodded, as he had no clue he tried to shoot her. "Well, he didn't miss Kim. So we need all hands on deck to find her right now. I'm going to sign whatever I need to sign to get dismissed, but we're going." Jay nodded, unsure what else to say before he went to go get a doctor.

Jay drove Riley back to the district, unhappy about her going to work right away but he kept his mouth shut. At least she was with him. The team warmly greeted her before she waved them off and hurried them back to work after telling them everything that happened. How Kent's body was in a warehouse somewhere and how Roy's the one who dumped the car with her in it.

Turns out a phone had been recovered from the car and it had been sent to CPIC.

"Still nothing on the Buick. They must be changing cars and dumping them."

"They dumped the Pontiac in the river to hide all the evidence," Kevin started.

"And me." Riley muttered under her breath, only heard by Jay who shot her a look.

"-So whatever it was that was on those shoes or clothes is gone now."

Adam walked back in with a file in his hands, "Provider gave us everything they could. The burner belongs to Roy. It's been off for hours. Last tower it pinged was downtown Madison and State. Last phone call was from another burner. That phone's off now too. So in the past two days, Roy's called 23 people, sent 9 texts. That's 32 phone numbers, 33 if we count the last burner."

"Any of those tower dumps match where we were abducted?" Riley asked, looking up at him with hope in her eyes.

"No, but these guys are smart - betting that the phone's off." Hailey answered.

"How many numbers identified as a burner?" Jay questioned, putting his hand on Riley's shoulder gently.

"Uh, 12. The other 21 are registered. So we get names, LKAs, criminal history." Adam said, looking through the papers in his file.
