Voight walked towards the team, later in the morning as he held a cup of coffee in his hand. "What do we got?"

"Okay, so basically the call came in from Mitchell at 2:30 am. She then went ahead to check it out, Jay and his partner got there at 2:45 am." Kim told everyone the approximative timeline that they gathered.

"Offender is Leonard Smith, known for armed robberies with a group of three men. Other two are unknown, but we looked through every cases with the same MO and we're trying to find a nexus." Hailey answered from her seat at her desk.

"MO?" Voight questioned.

"Yeah, team of three, they send one man in - always when there's only one woman home. The guy hits the safe if there's one, steals jewelry or anything else he finds." Jay explained to Voight, pointing at the PODs pictures they recovered. He was running on very little sleep and really wanted this case to be over with as soon as possible - but sadly it looked like the most vague case ever. They probably wouldn't be out of there for a while.

"What about the other two? How do we know about them?"

"They're either seen surveilling the houses days before or outside the house as the robbery happens. Never in the same cars, never the same guys and always facing away from any PODs or surveillance cameras." Jay added, gesturing his hands around.

"Start by looking at every car they've been seen in and keep trying to find that nexus." Voight orderned, slightly frustrated by how vague this case was.

The whole team nodded, getting right to work. All you could hear in the room was the typing of keys on the computers' keyboards. The whole time all Jay had in mind was to make the building - hell, even the city, safer for his family and every other family or person that could come across these men. They've armed people before and Jay would bet that they'd do it again.

"Hey, guys, uh, I got something." Hailey called from her computer, reading off of her screen. "Most of the cars were reported stolen in the same neighborhood, how much you wanna bet that one of them lives there?"

Voight nodded, "Any residents of that neighborhood have a record?"

After a few seconds of typing, Jay spoke up. "One of them, Gerard Ford, two armed robberies, out of jail since about a few weeks ago."

"Which is exactly around the time the robberies started." Kim pointed out, standing up at the same time from the others as they headed towards Jay's desk.

"I've got his last knowns right here and a few known associates." Jay informed the team, printing out all of the information. He passed the sheets around to everyone as he glanced over to Voight.

"Chase it."

-

Jay knocked loudly on the door, standing aside as Hailey looked through the window subtly. She shook her head at Jay, letting him know the house was empty.
