"This is so freaking cold." Riley mumbled as she washed off the gel from her belly. Jay chuckled, grabbing her some more tissues. "Thank you."

"So, how's it feel to have a healthy baby?" Jay asked, his tone light as he smiled from ear to ear.

She mirrored his expression, "Feels great." He chuckled, helping her up from the hospital bed where she had her check up and getting her dressed up. Riley put her coat back on, lightly shivering from the cold air circulating in the room. "Should we meet Hailey at a coffee shop? I could go for some hot chocolate right now."

Jay laughed, nodding his head. "Yeah, sure." He lead her out of the room, his hand pressed against the small of her back. "Are you buying?" He teased, making her laugh as well. She jokingly hit his arm.

"Anything for you, pretty boy."

They walked out of the hospital together, joking back and forth as Jay toyed with his radio to hear the radio traffic.

"Units on the citywide. 2533 South Whipple. Armed robbery in progress. Pay-Day Advantage."

"That's right up Cermak." Riley said, grabbing her phone to call Hailey. "Let's take the stairs."

"5021 George, we're rolling on it." Jay answered, "Can you drop me off?"

She hung up the phone after speaking with Hailey, rushing down the stairs by his side. "She's already on her way to pick you up. I'll head straight to the district and get started on traffic cams."

"10-1, 10-1. I got shots fired. Shots fired at the police. Send me some cars. I got people everywhere." Riley heard Jay's voice through the radio as she drove to the district. "I got two masked offenders fleeing northbound in a gray van."

"Copy that."

"5021 George, roll an ambo. Got a civilian hit."

She parked Jay's covert car in the parking lot behind the district, rushing inside. Riley went straight upstairs, keeping her ears open to everything that was happening on the air. The bullpen was empty when she got there, so she figured they were probably on their way to the scene already. She logged in, looking through the PODs and security cameras in the neighborhood.

Eventually, she received a text message with the information they had collected from the scene so she could get started with building the case. The team eventually walked in, settling down at their desks as Riley stood up and walked over to the board.

"Okay, the same crew has hit two other check-cashing places in the last couples of weeks, so that makes three. It's a pattern." She spoke up, pointing at the map she put up with red dots marking the places they hit.

"They're using gloves and masks. Same MO, and they're stealing a car every time to cover their tracks." Jay added, looking at the pictures she put up from the PODs.
