Me or you?

The thing is...

It was 30 minutes before I could finally get to searching for Hayes but right as I was about to start Everest and Caleb come up to me

Everest: We searched the 1st and 2nd floor and we didn't find anyone who fit the description
Caleb: Maybe if you guys told me his name or at least gave me a solid description I could've did more, I don't know why you guys don't trust me but did you hear about Becca and Kaylen? They told me not to tell anybody but it's you guys so it's okay
Asher: Caleb just hush you answered your own question

*bell rings*

We all go to class and as I'm doing my work I can't focus because I'm trying to think of where I might see Hayes and I'm getting worried I won't, it's like he disappeared and didn't want to be found. Fast forward to game day and Neil did not lie, it was super packed there and there was 10 more people at the concession stand every time I looked up. Finally we ran out of snacks and I got to sit with my friends and enjoy the game, Me, Everest, Neil, Caleb, and some other people I'm friends with are sitting together then Everest point across the field to a random guy at the other set of bleachers and say "Is that him?" And I look and tell her no then she keeps saying "Is that him?" And points to a random guy.

Everest: Hey is that him right there?!
Asher: No (I didn't look)
Everest: He has brown hair and a bracelet on
Asher: That could be anybody
Everest: Or it could be him
Asher: Leave that random dude alone
Caleb: Oh him? I've seen that guy before
Neil: Oh I've seen him a few times to, is that Asher's new boyfriend or something?
Everest: Not yet
Bryce: Go over there
Neil: Yea you've been looking for weeks and now you found him
Caleb: That is him right?
Everest: Yea he matches what Asher told us about him
Bryce: Go go go
Asher: Oh that is him
Caleb: Go!
Asher: Okay I'm going

I start to walk over there but I loose him in the crowd so I look at my friends who are already looking at me and they point me to where he is and I finally find him

Asher: Hayes (I say with a relived smile)
Hayes: Asher, your finally here : )
Awkward silence
Hayes: I missed you
I blush like a fool and sit down
Asher: I missed you to, I've been trying to find you but you disappeared as if you didn't want to be found
Hayes: Maybe I wanted to disappear but I'm glad you found me, I've been looking for you to you know
Asher: Have you been looking to find me or for the book back?
Hayes: You (he says with a laugh), what floor are you on?
Asher: The third, what about you?
Hayes: That's explains why I never saw you, I'm on the 5th and I only looked in the 1st and 2nd floors
Asher: I was starting to think I'll never find you
Hayes: The game is almost over so I have to wait for my friend but meet me after the game behind the bleachers okay? I think your friends want you back there looking at us.
Asher: Okay I'm going back now so don't disappear again
Hayes: I won't but just for you
I blush again

I head back to my set of bleachers and on the way back I see all my friends staring at me as if they never took their eyes off of me and followed my every move. When I get there everyone sits in silence waiting for a sentence to exit but my eyes are still searching for Hayes and trying to locate him again

Everest: So...
Asher: Behind the bleachers after the game!
Bryce: Not uh no way
Asher: Yes way (they fangirl scream together)
Caleb: Wait where is he again
Neil: He's new
Everest: How do you know
Neil: Because I could tell you every name in our grade and something about them but not him, I can't even remember his name
Asher: Everest let's go to the bathroom
Everest: Okay

Walking to the bathroom

Asher: Look at him isn't he cute?
Everest: Cute for you but you should think before you fall for guys so easily
Asher: I know but I can't wait till this game is over
Casey: Hey can you come with me really quick?
Asher: Urm where?
Casey: Okay so the coach wanted to hand out T- shirts and he needed to take some boxes from the concession stand to the trash but he's about to start leading the crowd out so me and Neil are passing out shirts and we need you to help direct-
Asher: Help direct the crowd and take out the boxes right
Casey: Yes
Asher: Okay fine
Everest: What about behind the bleachers after the game?
Asher: He has to wait for his friends and the game hasn't ended yet so I have time I hope
Everest: Okay I'm going to go back so meet us there before you go
Asher: Okay

I start to walk over to the gate because the game ended and the team needs to get back inside so I blow the whistle and point them to the gate, they go through and it's one left but he's talking to Hayes so that must be his friend so I ignore it and go find the boxes I need to take out, I pass my friends and they point to the boxes across the field and Everest points to Hayes going toward the bleachers so I know she's saying "Hurry" and I do.

It was 5 minutes before I could get to the trash and back then a extra 10 minutes because everybody needed me all of a sudden. Everest came to the rescue and did what they were asking me to do so I could go find Hayes but when i get there nobody's there and Caleb said "He was waiting and I tried to make him stay but I didn't know where you were so he left"

I'm disappointed in myself because if I would've said no to those people then I could've seen him, it took me weeks to find him and now I lost him again. But I try not to worry about it because I kinda hope that he'll find me on Monday and my friend Dakota is spending the night tonight. We met 2 years ago because my dad was friends with his and we became close almost immediately, one time we went to a arcade and a guy passed by us "He was cute" I say and look and Kota for a response and he hesitated to say "Yea he was :)" and we didn't talk about it much after that but we understood each other's situation, we're really close friends and I wish we went to the same school but I see him a lot on the weekends
