The main character Asher has been in many not so good relationships and he meets someone new, his friends warn him about rushing into things and remind him of his past experiences but they support him and his new found love
When me and Hayes get to my house we're deep into conversation so we kinda stand at the door step still talking because we're both passionate about the topic. Then I realize he's actually about to come in my house
Asher: Hey do you mind waiting out here for a minute I swear I'll be quick Hayes: Sure :)
I smile at him then run in the house to make sure it's clean and I go to my room and stuff everything in the closet then I hide every photo album in sight and I go into my parents room
Asher: Guys I have a friend over so I need you to not embarrass me and dont bring up and story's from when I was smaller. Just say hi to him and go come back up okay? Mom: Sure but is this just a friend or a boyfriend? Asher: Urm I'm not sure yet Dad: Okay fine
I go back downstairs and open the door, I tell Hayes to come in and he does, we sit at the kitchen counter continuing our conversation and eating fruit then my parents come downstairs
Dad: Hi Asher, Hi Asher's friend Mom: Asher don't be rude introduce us Asher: Hayes this is mom and dad, mom and dad this is Hayes Hayes: Nice to meet you Dad: It's nice to meet you to Hayes :) Mom: We're going back upstairs so you boys behave yourself Asher: We will
They go back upstairs and I'm so proud of them, every single time I bring a boy over rather I'm dating them or not they manage to embarrass me but they did exactly what they were told this time. Me and Hayes talk for around 20 minutes then we run out of fruit so I decided to show Hayes the coolest part of my house
Asher: Wanna go somewhere? Hayes: Sure but where? Asher: You'll see follow me to the backyard Hayes: Okay :)
We get outside and there's my tree house

I look at Hayes to see his reaction and he's in awe

We go up and Hayes is gagged and I'm proud that he's impressed
Hayes: This had to take decades to build Asher: My dad was working on it since I was like 4 and he just finished last year Hayes: That's amazing, I always wanted one but we moved before we could even start Asher: Want a house tour Hayes: Sure :) Asher: Okay so here's the kitchen, it only has junk food in it and here's my room, it's not much decoration in there just pictures of me and my friends then here's the living room... why are you in here
Hayes pov I'm still in shock on how cool this is and in the pictures I see Everest, Neil, Bryce, 2 other dudes I don't know and a girl I don't know. On one of the boys I can see where his face was scribbled out but then the markings were erased and I know it's a interesting story about that but I keep it to myself then I hear Asher say "Why are you in here" while looking into the living room so I go see who he's talking to and it's a girl sitting in a bean bag chair watching tv
Asher: This is my sister I told you about her name is Avery Hayes: I'm Hayes Avery: He's cute, is he yours? Asher: He doesn't belong to anyone? Avery: Not like that, are you dating him Asher: Uh not exactly... Avery: So I can have him then? Hayes: Urm... Avery: Oh I get it, so your gay but your not dating each other Asher: Right Avery: Oh okay my bad Hayes: No worries Avery: Well I'm going to go now so bye bye Asher: See ya later
Asher's pov I completely forgot to tell her that I had a friend over and that we were in a situation ship but she understood and apologized so it should be good but I'm still a bit embarrassed
Hayes: Is she your older or younger sister? Asher: Actually she's my twin sister... Hayes: Oh, You actually look exactly like her Asher: Well she looks like me because I'm 5 minutes older Hayes: Oh okay *he laughs*
Me and Hayes watch tv, play board games, talk about things we like and don't like, we talk about true crimes and unsolved mysteries and give out opinions on them, and once it starts to get dark Hayes mom texts him and says he has to come home. We're both upset that we have to depart when we we're enjoying each other's company so much but we go back into the house to get to the front door
Asher: Do you want me to walk you half way? Hayes: No my brothers girlfriend lives right down there and he's over there so I'll get them to take me Asher: Oh okay Awkward silence
I decided that this was my chance to make another move so I build up my confidence then lean in and *smooch* I kissed him and I was more surprised then he was then he pulled me back and we kissed again while both our faces were red then he pulled away and said "Bye :)" and I replied "See you later :)" as he walked down the sidewalk I could hear him squeal and I went in the house, I immediately ran to tell Avery what happened
The weekend is over and not a moment went by that I didn't think about my kiss with Hayes. When I got to my locker a note fell out and it said
When I opened my eyes I saw your parents going back upstairs so they must've been in the living room or the kitchen and saw everything -Hayes<3
Everest: Hmm Bryce: Very suspicious indeed Neil: What does he mean by everything? Bryce: My guess is they saw them making out Everest: And our best buddy Ash wasn't gonna tell us? How rude Neil: You really weren't gonna tell us? I'm kinda offended Asher: I'm sorry guys, The truth is we kissed and I think my parents saw it Everest: We forgive you :) Bryce: Let's go to class before Caleb comes to listen
In class Asher: I'm sorry but I really wasn't trying to hide it from you guys but here's the story. We were at my house and I decided to show him the tree house then when I was giving him a tour Avery was there Everest: How's she doing? Bryce: I haven't talked to her since she stopped hanging with us Neil: I miss her Everest: Same Asher: Well come back to her after I finish. So we talked to her for a bit then she left, me and Hayes talked about everything in the world and played board games and what seemed like 30 minutes was actually 3 hours so he had to go home, I walked him to the door and I leaned in and kissed him!! then he kissed me back!! and he left
Time skip to a week later on Tuesday, me Hayes and my other friends all went to the board to find our names because we're getting our new courses for the term and I prayed that I would be with my friends
Everest: Okay I got ASHER!!! And Caleb! Neil: Let me see, I got BRYCE! And... HAYES! Bryce: Okay I got CALEB! And AVERY Avery: Yay... anyway I got Blair and Everest! Hayes: I'm so nervous okay I got Casey and... ASHER! They jump up and hug Asher: Okay my turn let's see, I got EVEREST! And... HAYES! And... Avery: What happened let me see, Everest, Hayes, and... Keith
Everyone was gagged and Hayes was confused
Hayes: What's wrong who's Keith? Neil: Keith is... Everest you tell him Everest: Keith is Asher's most recent ex and things ended horrible with them Hayes: Oh, I don't really know what to say Avery: Do you think they can switch it Caleb: No chance, these are final Bryce: So he's in a class with his ex and his new boyfriend I wonder how that's gonna go Everest: Shut up you know there not dating Hayes: Yet
