The main character Asher has been in many not so good relationships and he meets someone new, his friends warn him about rushing into things and remind him of his past experiences but they support him and his new found love
It's Saturday and I'm very bored so I decided that todays the day that Dakota should meet Hayes, he said he'll agree as long as I let him bring Cole and he doesn't feel right with me not liking him. I say okay but only because I want him to meet Hayes and we all decide to meet at Golden Coral.
When we got there we sat down and me and Dakota had a mental agreement to not question the others person and just observe while being normal
Cole: This is kinda awkward (I roll my eyes and sip my drink) Hayes: Urm what's you name? Dakota: Dakota Hayes: I've heard Asher mention you a few time, how did you guys meet?
I put my drink that I've been sipping since I got it down and looked at Dakota who was already looking at me because he didn't know rather to answer or keep quiet but I gave him a "Go ahead" look
Dakota: Our dads are friends Hayes: Any fun memories to share? Dakota: Well... there was that one time I was pushing Asher on the swings and he wanted to go higher so I pushed him higher and he had the bright idea to jump off then he jumped and fell flat on his face and had a mouth full of sand
Hayes pov After Dakota tells the story we all look at Asher who is not paying attention and looking out into the crowd while drinking his drink which I think is so cute
Asher: What happened? Hayes: He told me a story about when you guys were younger Asher: Oh okay, doesn't that food look good? Dakota: Yea you guys should go while me and Hayes keep talking (Hayes smiles) Cole: Should we go get stuff together? Asher: No Dakota: Asher Asher: Fine
Getting food together Cole: What's your problem Asher: Whats yours Cole: I didn't do anything wrong so why don't you like me Asher: Why would I give you my trust to date my best friend after you broke his heart what like 4 times? Cole: I didn't break his heart and we're over it now so Asher: What does he see in you, I honestly don't know why he keeps going back to you Cole: At least pretend to like me in front of Kota Asher: Shut up I was already going to do that
At the table with Dakota and Hayes
Dakota: So do you really like him? Hayes: Of course Dakota: And do you really know him? Hayes: I think? Dakota: I'm not gonna interrogate you or anything but just give it to me straight Hayes: What are you talking about?... Dakota: Did you smash or not because he said something about taking it to the next level Hayes: Next level? Dakota: Ya, he said it was only a kiss but that's not the next level, the next level is smashing so did you do it or not Hayes: When did he say that Dakota: A week or two ago Hayes: Oh well no we didn't "smash" we just kissed like he said
After we all talk and as we're eating I notice that Dakota keeps giving Hayes side eyes and Hayes side eyes him back in a confused way but I try to ignore it and eat and after we all finish we go outside and are about to go home but then Neil and Caleb come down the street pushing bikes and Everest isn't far behind him
Everest: I SAID WAIT DAMN IT, oh hey guys what ya up to? Neil: A double date and we didn't get invited? How rude Caleb: Since your house is like around the corner and our tires went flat can we hang at your house?
I look around at the crowd of friends and say "sure" and we all go to my house, when we get there we go to the tree house and sit around and enjoy each other's company then Avery comes over and it gets just a bit more fun then we get bored
Everest: Let's have a sleepover Asher: Not here, at Hayes house Bryce: And specific reason? Asher: He has a movie room
Hayes pov Im leading a crowd of 8-9 people to my house for a sleepover I wasn't planning on having but I don't mind at all, my brother is staying with his girlfriend and my parents stay in there room 24/7 so I'm happy to have them over especially Asher. We get there and go into my movie room

Hayes: The couches pull out so you can rearrange them however you like Everest: It's so cool down here Cole: No way, you have a popcorn machine?! Neil: And a slushy machine Hayes: Yea and there a bunch of snacks in that pantry

Asher's pov I don't know if I should've asked Hayes before volunteering his house to have a sleepover at because I don't know if he's comfortable enough with my friends yet but he looks like he's having fun, he's laughing with them and playing just dance with Everest. Everyone starts to settle down after around 2 hours and we decide to watch a scary movie. Everyone started to make their own areas, Kota and Cole have a spot on the couch, Avery and Everest have a spot on the other end, Caleb and Bryce are sitting together on the floor sharing a blanket and me and Hayes have a spot on the floor by the couch and Neil is still admiring the snacks in the pantry
When the scary part of the scary movie comes on me and Hayes scoot closer and hold each other as a sense of affection and protection because we're both scared while Avery and Everest have 3d glasses on that they don't need because it's a projection and there sharing popcorn. When the movie is over every one is asleep except me, Hayes, Everest but only because she's on a sugar rush and we decided to go to the kitchen to get some real food.
We ordered two pizzas earlier but I didn't end up eating much but I can only blame myself because everyone was grabbing 3 while I grabbed 1 like a idiot. A few minutes later while we were in the kitchen we heard a voice say "GET OFF ME!" So we go back to the movie room to see what happened and it's Dakota talking to Cole
Asher: Stop yelling what's going on? Dakota: He keeps touching my chest after I told him to stop it 1000 times Neil: I thought that was your boyfriend? Dakota: It is! Asher: Dude you know he doesn't like people touching him especially not his chest Cole: But it's soft Dakota: Do I look like I have tits to you?! Cole: No? Dakota: Then stop touching my chest
He gets up and walks away from Cole and sits on the couch and we're all to tired to continue the conversation so they all start to drift back asleep and when me and Hayes go back to the kitchen we see Everest asleep on the floor with her back against the table "Don't worry I'll carry her to the movie room" and I thank his as he picks her us as if she's as light as a feather and takes her back to the room and comes back. We eat then go back and fall asleep while cuddling
