The main character Asher has been in many not so good relationships and he meets someone new, his friends warn him about rushing into things and remind him of his past experiences but they support him and his new found love
Asher's pov "Hi guys" I say waving to the crew that just came into the room and they say it back "Let's go into the living room" Hayes says and we all agree and go.
Everest: Have you guys been to way back burger? Hayes: Nope Caleb: You need to try their milkshakes, me, Bryce, Everest and Neil went yesterday and 10/10 Neil: There was 0 point in me going because I took one single sip and told them it was good then Everest tried mine and said it was good and drunk half of it when she had a full one on her own Everest: I said sorry and let you have some of mine Neil: It's the principle Asher: What were you guys talking about on the phone earlier Neil: Oh yea pay me my 5$ Caleb: Fine Everest: Hey Bryce can I borrow 5$? Bryce: Sure
After about an hour of messing around in the kitchen and living room they decide to go outside to walk around, Neil, Asher and Everest are walking ahead while Hayes and Caleb are a bit behind kicking rocks
Asher: Guys I have something to tell you Neil: What is it? Asher: I think Hayes is planning on breaking up with me Neil: Well technically your not together so... Asher: that's besides the point Everest: Why do you think that Asher? Asher: Because he said he had something to tell me but he kept getting interrupted before he could and he wouldn't even look me in the eye Everest: Do you want me to ask him about it? Asher: Please because if he's going to do it he could at least give me a heads up Neil: Are we sure Everest is the right person for this?
Hayes pov Hayes: Yea I was eating cotton candy Caleb: No but funnel cake is a must have Hayes: Yea but who ever has it when there not at the fair Caleb: True Everest: Hayes I need to talk to you Hayes: Okay about what :) Everest: That's really mean what your trying to do to Asher Hayes: What does he not want to? (He thinks she's talking about going out with Asher) Everest: No he doesn't want to! Why would he be here if he did Hayes: I just thought he came over because we're friends Everest: If he did then why did he kiss you back Hayes: Urm

Everest: Yea he wants to break up with you Asher: What did he say? Everest: He was saying he thought you wanted to Asher: I think it's because I made him uncomfortable last night Neil: What happened? Asher: We were kissing and we almost went... all the way... but we got interrupted so I think I went to far Neil: He might be joking Asher: I might as well do it before he can He goes over Hayes: What is Everest talking about Asher: If you wanted to do it you didn't have to wait until my friends were here Hayes: I was gonna do it before but I kept getting interrupted Asher: Is it something I did? Hayes: It's everything you did (he thinks he's talking about getting together) Asher: Well I'm sorry... Hayes: So that's a no?... Asher: Well you wanted to and I didn't so... Hayes: You didn't? Asher: No Hayes: Then we don't have to, we can be friends then... Asher: I'm confused, what are you talking about Hayes: You don't want to date me so we can be friends Asher: What? When did I say I didn't want to date you? You just broke up with me Hayes: No I didn't I asked you out and you said no Asher: What?! When did that happen Caleb: I get it, there's some miscommunication going on here. Hayes was talking about being your boyfriend but you thought he was breaking up with you Hayes and Asher: Ohh Hayes: Let's try it again Asher: O-oh okay Hayes: Do you want to be my boyfriend? Asher: Yes :) *they hug* Everest: Awww Bryce: So cute
Asher's pov Later on the others walk home together and Hayes walks me halfway while holding my hand, when we get to there I turn to face Hayes and say "Thanks for walking me" and he responds "No problem" and there's a awkward silence so we kissed and went our separate ways and I could hear him squeal when he thought he was far enough away and I skip down the road happily because I have a boyfriend! I skip to the kitchen happily because I have a boyfriend! I eat leftovers happily because I have a boyfriend! I watch tv happily because I have a boyfriend! Then my mom asks me what I'm so jolly and I say "I have a boyfriend!" And kick my feet happily.
The next day my dad asked me to go to the bookstore to get a specific book for him so put on my outfit that Everest got me for my birthday and skip to the bookstore

The outfit^ I get to to bookstore and go to the Harry Potter section and think to myself "Nothing can ruin this perfect day" then I hear it "Cole come here real quick" and my face turns blank because I immediately recognized the voice and it's Dakota, I now have two options, put the book down and leave then come back later or I can turn around and let them see me. I have plans today so I don't want to make a second trip back here so I go with the second option. I turn around and Dakota sees me, I try not to look at him but I looked anyway and saw a hint of softness in his eyes but they quickly turn to Cole who just spotted me
Cole: What's up bro, long time no see *He holds out his hand to dap him up* Asher: Hi...Cole *Doesn't dap him up* Dakota: Hey Asher Asher: Hello Kota, nice talking to you but I have to go Dakota: Wait I want to talk to you Asher: What about Dakota: I missed you Asher: Really Dakota: Yes Asher: Well I guess I missed you to Dakota: I'm sorry for talking to you that way over the phone it's just- never mind that Asher: Well what have you been up to Dakota: Nothing, me and Cole- I've just been sitting in the house Asher: Cool Dakota: What about you? Asher: Well me and Hayes made it official yesterday Dakota: No way Asher: Yes way and we almost went all the way when he spent the night Dakota: He spent the night?! Asher: Yep Dakota: You almost went all the way?! What stopped you? Asher: Parents came home Dakota: Oh, *whispering* wouldn't that have been your first time? Asher: Yea but I think I'm ready Dakota: Go for it next time then and tell me how it went Asher: Okay I will :) Dakota: Well we're going now so call me later Asher: Bye
Dakota holds his arms out for a hug and I hesitated for a second then hugged him and squeezed him tightly
