Asher's pov
I got tired of standing and wanted to go sit with Milo since he's alone but Hayes wants me to stand with him. "Hayes can we go sit down now?" I say as everyone else is talking with Finley at the door "Hold on" he says with his body pressed against me, I don't mind but my feet hurt "Unless you about to pick me up I'm about to go sit down" I say and he sighs, I go sit back with Milo while Hayes glares. Eventually everyone sits down to start the conversation "Incest" I said and Milo laughed "Yeah that's definitely incest" he said as we're talking about a book then I look at Hayes, he looks right back at me and I immediately noticed his posture and what it meant to I did what he wanted me to and sat in his lap while he welcomed me with open arms

Everest: So you guys are getting back together?
Finley: Yeah
Neil: Bro no your not! You not getting back with him Finley we talked about this like two weeks ago
Finley: I know but-
Bryce: Damn let him live his life!
Caleb: I think I'm with Neil on this one, they shouldn't get back together after all that
Finely: But-
Ryan: I have to go with Bryce, Finley's just as old as us and he can make his own decisions
Avery: I'm mutual but I wouldn't want my brother getting back with his abusive ex
Finley: Guys-
Everest: He has the right to choose, I'm with Bryce
Hayes: I got to go with Neil, they shouldn't get back together
Finley: I-
Asher: I'm also mutual but Finley should do what he wants to
Milo: I'm with Bryce
Finley: Are you guys done?! Can I talk now?!
Caleb: Go ahead
Finley: Thank you! I'm trying to say that I want to get back with him
Asher: Why though?
Finley: Because things haven't been the same ever since I left, I don't feel like me
Neil: Good! You don't feel like the person who was getting hit everyday for no reason, that's a good thing
Everest: You need to let him live Neil
Ryan: I agree, he's going to do what he wants and makes mistakes his whole life, that's how he's going to learn
Caleb: You can't protect him forever
Neil: Okay how about you let your best friend get back in a toxic relationship, try not to do anything to stop it! I want to see you fry

Hayes: He can protect himself

Finley: Yes I can! I'm not the same as I was back then
Milo: Well if Finely and Bryce both want to get together then they should
Bryce: That's exactly what I'm saying
Asher: Look how about if anything goes wrong Neil can do whatever he sees fit
Bryce: That sounds reasonable, I don't know why Neil is acting like that after we've been friends for so long
Neil: I don't give a damn, if I find out you put your hands on my little brother I swear on everything I love I'm beating the fuck out of you
Finley: So you agree to it?
Neil: *sigh* I guess so
Finley: YAYYY!

Dakota's pov
I wake up and come downstairs to everyone in a conga line "Cha cha cha cha cha cha! They are back together!" They chant and I laugh "Come on Dakota!" Asher says so I join "Who's back together?" I asked and Milo said "Finley and Bryce" I didn't think that'll be something we're celebrating but fuck it at this point. Later on after everyone left I was sitting with Asher in the car eating Wendy's then I got a notification "You pretty asf ma" somebody messaged me and I rolled my eyes, I'm not famous and I know how to take a compliment so I liked the message but I'm tired of people calling me "Ma" who is that?? "What's wrong Dakota?" Asher asked and I sighed "Why everytime a guy talk to me I get addressed as ma, who tf is that" and he responds "They just think your pretty" "I guess but my man tell me I'm pretty everyday so I don't really need nobody else to do it. I say thank you because I'm not trying to act like I'm that bitch but I'm just saying" I say and Asher nods "I get you but a few extra compliments can't hurt, it's a confidence boost" he says and I reply "Yeah that's true, I can't say I don't like being complimented"

Hayes's pov
Ughhhh back to school now, that means I can't go back to work according to my mom because I need to focus. Final exams are right around the corner so I see what she means "HAYES!" Asher called out and I didn't see him but I ran over in a random direction "What? Where you at?" I ask then see him around the corner on the phone so I go over and listen in to the phone call. The only thing I could make out was "Star, Sky, babysit, twins, 50$" so after Asher hangs up I look at him concerned and he sighed "I have to babysit my twin cousins for a week while they're mom is away about to have another baby" Asher said and I smiled "Well you love kids so that's good right?" I ask and he nods "You're living with me for a week and I need you to help me" he said and my jaw drops
