Break

Asher's pov
We have a break from school for a week and it starts tomorrow so today me and the crew decided to go ice skating at the new place that opened up.

Bryce: Hey guys
Caleb: And where the hell have you been
Everest: Right, we haven't seen you since 2-3 pages ago
Bryce: Oh I meet someone
Neil: Cool who is it
Bryce: You guys don't know him but can he come ice skating I want you to meet him
Hayes: Sure, does he go here?
Bryce: Mhm but he's on the 6th floor
Asher: I'll invite Kota and Cole to
Avery: I thought you guys weren't talking to each other anymore
Asher: We made up in the bookstore
Everest: Okay so we got Me, Asher, Avery, Hayes, Neil, Caleb, Bryce, Bryce's boyfriend, Kota, and Cole. Is that everyone?
Hayes: Yep I think so
Neil: So we'll all meet there at what time?
Caleb: Let's do 5:00

We all say okay and head home to get ready

Hayes pov
At 5:00 I go to the skating rink and 7/10 members of the crew are there so we wait around for a bit as everybody slowly arrives except Bryce's date so we wait a bit longer then
he gets a text "He's here guys so be nice and Everest please don't say anything weird" we all agree then Bryce goes to get him

Bryce: Okay everyone this is Finley so go down the line and introduce yourselfs
Everest: Everest
Caleb: Caleb
Neil: Neil
Hayes: Hayes
Dakota: Dakota
Cole: Nicolas or Cole
Asher: Asher
Avery: Avery
Finley: Okay nice to meet you all and I think I've heard all your names once or twice.
Hayes: Are we all ready to skate?
Neil: Yep let's put on our skates

Everest's pov
They all struggle get to put their skates on but me and Asher didn't, I didn't because I went ice skating for like every birthday party and I taught Asher so he knows how he's just waiting for Hayes. I think anything that has to do with ice goes with me because I'm named after Mount Everest. We all get on the ice and me and Asher watch as everyone falls, we help them up and everyone gets a partner as they try their best to try and skate

Bryce has Finley, Asher has Hayes, Kota has Cole, Neil has Caleb, and I have Avery. And after a few minutes everyone starts to get the hang of it

Hayes pov
I stand at the side lines holding onto the wall because I'm sick and tired of falling but Asher is determined to teach me how to skate. He's very persistent and he won't skate unless I at least try so I do it because I don't want to spoil his fun, we get on the ice and Asher grabs my hands as I wobble and try to catch my balance. I finally get steady after the encouragement from Kota, Asher and Finley then me and Asher skate around very slowly, I get the hang of it and we speed up little by little till finally we're at the same pace as the others

Asher: See you got it babe

I smile partially because I'm proud of myself and because he called me babe 🤭.

Asher: Okay let's try a spin
Hayes: O-Okay
Asher: Put your hand on my waist
Hayes: Like this?
Asher: Mhm, then put one foot out
Hayes: Alright
Asher: Now here's where it might get difficult so stay with me, we're gonna pull each other to our foot that's out and spin the other
Hayes: I don't know about this Ash
Asher: We're gonna do it standing still so let's just try it
Hayes: Okay so like this
Asher: Mhm
Hayes: Then this
Asher: Yep
Hayes: And like...this!
Asher: YOU GOT IT HAYES IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!

Neil's pov
While everyone is on the sidelines Asher asks us to look as him and Hayes do their spin. We watch as they do it and it was simple but Hayes learned it fast so we stand up and clap for them. We skate for a while longer then leave and later on we get a text from Hayes

Hayes the gay: I'm going out of town for our break to spend some time with my old friends
Mtn Everest: Aww I thought we were gonna go get ice cream tomorrow
Caleb eats seaweed: Wait I thought we were going fishing
Princess Av: So your coming back next week?
Hayes the gay: Yea and I'm sorry guys we can get ice cream and go fishing when I get back
Sushi hater (Bryce): So we can't watch my little pony in the movie room with Everest anymore?
Hayes the gay: Sadly no
Mtn Everest: 😔💔

Asher's pov
When I wake up my phone has 10 notifications from the group chat and texts from my mom.

Favorite parent: Me and your dad left for a business trip last night but we left 100$ for you guys to buy food and make SURE you don't lose your key and lock the door. We'll be back sometime next week so be safe we love you
Asher: Okay I love you to mom 💗

I see what they were talking about in the group chat and they were saying how Hayes isn't going to be in town for the whole break so they can't watch my little pony or go fishing or eat ice cream, I didn't know they had any of that planned but I call Hayes

On call
Asher: Hey babe
Hayes: Hey smiley
Asher: Whatcha doing
Hayes: In the car about to get dropped off at my friends house
Asher: Cool, when are you coming home?
Hayes: Next week on Sunday
Asher: Oh okay
Hayes: I'll miss you
Asher: Aww I'll miss you to, have fun
Hayes: I'll try

Hs brother: Is that your boyfriend on the phone?
Hayes: Mind your business and yea it is
Hs brother: You can't be 30 minutes without him huh
Hayes: I sure can't, where's your girlfriend
Hs brother: At her house
Hayes: Are you sure she's not cheating on you
Hs brother: Huh
Asher: I have to hang up but I'll call you tonight
Hayes: Okay bye bye : )

I miss him already
