Alright, like I said in the summary, I read the manga version of Maximum Ride, not the book. I don't know if they're all that different, but I'm just warning everyone that they might not be the same, meaning that the information might be different.

'Silver's POV'

This has been my life since I was just a small child; dreadful, painful tests, and mutation after mutation, a whole nineteen years of it.

When I was just a baby, these freak scientists we call 'the white coats' decided to kidnap me and begin messing with my DNA. Their testing ended up with me being part hawk. That means, amazing sight, weird insides and blood that no one will explain to me, and giant hawk wings on my back.

Not only did they think it was a good idea to mess with my physical DNA, but they messed with my mental DNA also, but I've been told that the changes they've made mentally will show in time. Oh, they also decided to make my wings silver, along with my hair, that's how I got my name. Lilian is only one year older then me, when they captured me they gave me my silver wings right away, that's when she gave me my name.

The white coats throw me back into my cage, after testing my ability on long-distance flying.

My wings ache as I lay on the cold metal cage floor, breathing hard.

"Silver?! Silver, are you alright?!" As soon as she sees me, Lillian shakes the bars on her cage, which is right next to mine. Lilian is part lioness, giving her hair a golden colour, lion-like ears, sharp claws and a lions tail

"I... I'm alright..." I manage to sit up just as Dezmend wakes up, his cage being on the left of mine. I hear him sit up. Dez is part red fox, giving him shaggy red hair, fox ears, and a white-tipped, but otherwise red fox tail. Dez and I were kidnapped at about the same time, which leads us to believe that we're about the same age

"Morning Dez." I smile, trying not to show my pain. He stretches like a dog would

"Good morning Silver, how was your sleep?" He asks

"Not great... The white coats got me up in the middle of the night for a surprise endurance test," I sigh and arch my back, cracking it

"Oh, I'm sorry Silv... Why're they so hard on you? None of us have nearly as many tests as you do..?" Dez questions

"I don't know why, but if it keeps you guys from having so many tests, then I'm happy to deal with the pain." Lilian gasps as I say this. I turn my head to her and follow her gaze to two white coats, they're carrying a small girl. I can't make out what she looks like, but I can tell that she's unconscious

"What do you think they're going to do to that one?" One of the male experiments asks Lilian

"Shut up!" I yell at him "you're just making her worry about something she can't control" The experiment looks to me

"Silver? I thought you were dead" he smirks at me

"Tsk' in your dreams" I roll my eyes. Dez speaks up

"Leave her alone," he says to the other experiment.

They begin to unlock us one by one to take us to the feeding room. They don't feed us often, but when they do, it's awful slop...

'Nya's POV'

"I don't know what happened!" I scream. We're all sitting in the headmasters office in the monastery
