'Silver's POV'
"Bring her here." The female white coat yanks my arm, forcing to move towards Vanessa
"What do you want?" I ask venomously
"You should really speak to me with more respect." She takes a gun out from under her white coat
"I could kill you right now, you know." She presses the gun into the side of my head. I close my eyes, half of me wants her to pull the trigger...
"But, what fun would that be?" She smirks and puts the gun away. "Put her in a cell with Khaos." She turns and walks into another room
The white coat pulls on my arm again, forcing me to keep up with her brisk pace. I'm pushed into Khaos' cell. She pushes me so hard that I almost fall down, but I am just able to catch myself.
"Silver! Are you okay? Does your head hurt?" He jumps off of the metal bed to hold me in his arms
"Yeah, I'm fine..." That's a lie... Whatever is left in my stomach is still fighting its way up my throat and my head is spinning.
My earpiece beeps. I guess my dad was right; the white coats didn't notice our cameras or earpieces
"Silver, Khaos, please try your hardest to find anything that might tell us where they're taking you."
I nod my head, telling them that I understand. Khaos does the same.
We sit down on the metal bed. My thoughts run wild inside the cold, dark room, and I find myself crying again.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Khaos asks, turning me to face him on his lap
"W-what if we can't get Kadence back..? What if we're too late..?" I look up at him
"Silver, if they have done anything to him, they're going to want us to see him. So, at the very least, we know he's safe until we see him." He's right, but it doesn't make me feel any better, because there's still the possibility that they've succeeded in taking over his brain and we're going to have to fight our son...
"Khaos... I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry for everything that has happened to you because of me..." I push my face into his chest. I'm scared to see the expression on his face
"Silver, can I tell you something?" He asks, petting my hair gently. I nod my head
"I was actually happy when the white coats brought me back to life." I look at him
"Why?" I try to make my voice sound less shocked than I feel, but I fail miserably
"Because, now I can protect you and Kadence, and see the both of you happy after the war is over. And, we can be a real family..." I smile. We can be a real family... What a nice thought...
"Khaos, I love you so much... Please, never leave me again..."
"I won't, I promise." I close my eyes and press my lips to his.
I love this man, the father of my child... I will do whatever I can to get us all of us out of this alive...
~~~
A nightmare wakes me from my sleep. Khaos, who's chest I'm laying on, opens his eyes sleepily
"Nightmare?" He asks, I nod "Everything's going to be okay..." His arms tighten around my back.
I could really use Lilian to hum me her tune right now...
Lilian! How could I have forgotten? Where did they take Lilian?!
I jump out of bed, startling Khaos.
"Hey, what are you-?" I begin pounding on the door
"Hey! Where's Lilian?!" The guard opens the peephole thing
"The unsuccessful lion experiment?" He asks. I really wish they would stop referring to her as the 'unsuccessful lion'
"Yeah, where is she?" She smirks
"Oh, don't worry, you'll see." He closes the peephole.
No, that could have so many answers, and none of them are good...
"No, what are they doing to her?! Tell me!" I continue to pound on the door
"Quiet down!" The man opens the peephole and sticks his taser gun through it
"Silver!" Khaos wraps his arms around me, so that his back is to the guard. I feel his arms tighten around me when the taser hits his back
"Get out of the way, you stupid wolf!" The guard yells, shooting his taser again
Khaos doesn't move. The guard clicks his tongue and closes the peephole
"You've got to stop putting yourself in danger like that." Khoas says, releasing me, but still looking into my eyes. I feel tears run down my cheeks again. His eyes immediately show concern
"Everyone that I get close to gets hurt... Everyone!" I drop to my knees
I shouldn't be alive... Everyone's lives would be so much better if I was dead...
Khaos doesn't say anything, he just picks me up and carries me back to our metal bed. He sits on the bed, his back against the wall, and holds me on his lap, allowing me to cry into his chest
"Silver, we're going to get through this... We're going to save Lilian and Kadence and end the war..." His voice soothes me back into sleep.
~~~
Someone pulls on my arm
"Stop it! Don't touch her!" Khaos yells. I open my eyes slowly, only to be jerked out of my bed and into my feet. The quick movement causes my head to spin, sending me falling to the floor
"C'mon, stay on your feet!" The guard shouts, pulling me off of the ground
"Stop it!" Khoas punches both of the guards that were forcing him out of the cell. He runs to me, forcing my guard away from me
"Are you okay?" He asks, I shake my head side to side. He helps me up, putting his arm around my waist as a support
The guards get us out of the hovercraft and into a field. I take a look around, showing my father and the others our surroundings.
A panel opens up in the ground, revealing stairs
"Come now, your son has a few more tests to go thorough, and I think we should let you two watch." Vanessa leads us down the cold, dark stairs.
