Chapter 15: Nobody

'Silver's POV'

It's been exactly one week since Dez escaped the white coats.

"Julia, let's go!" I call her, pushing the front door open. Sensei said that her wing has healed and she can resume flying, I'm going to take her out for a while and see how she's doing

"I'm coming Silver!" She hops out the door and over to me

"Ready?" I ask, she nods. I unfold my wings and fly above the trees, she follows.

We fly for a good hour, then return to the monastery

"How does your wing feel?" I ask, landing on the ground beside her

"Good as new!" She smiles happily, flapping her wings a little

"That's good to hear." Dez, who was sitting outside, says. Julia smiles at him, then runs off.

Nya, Dez, Lilian, Julia and I watch the guys train for hours, since we have nothing else to do

"Silver?" Dez looks to me

"Yeah?" I prompt

"C-can I show you something?" He stutters a little. Cole's words run through my mind:

He's hiding something...

I nod hesitantly and stand up. He takes my hand and leads me away from the others. We walk into the forest

"Dez, where are you taking me?" He doesn't answer, he just keeps walking

"Dez!"

We're really far into the forest, what's he doing?!

"Let me go!" I rip my hand from his grasp, he stops and turns to me

"Why did you bring me here..?" I ask, staring straight into his eyes. Before I have time to collect my thoughts, Dez is pushing his lips to mine in a short kiss. He also shoves something into my hand, a handgun?

"I'm sorry, I had to do that once before-" he's cut off by the bushes around us moving and Vanessa and multiple white coats stepping out, blocking any possible exits, they all hold guns.

Dez did this, he brought me here. I feel sick, my stomach churns and my head begins pounding. Tears burn at my eyes,

"You brought me here to give me to them?! How could you?! I've trusted you forever, Dez! Why did you do this to me?!" I scream

"Silver, don't blame the poor boy. We manipulated his brain, it's not his fault." Vanessa smirks

I raise the gun that Dez gave me, aiming it at her head

"Was this part of your plan, him giving me his gun? There's nothing stopping me from shooting you!" But, there is, there is something stopping me.

All of the surrounding white coats lift their guns.

'Julia's POV'

Silver went into the forest with Dez, she doesn't know that I followed.

I should go get the guys. But, as I move from my spot behind a tree, one of the white coats hears me and grabs my arm.

'Silver's POV'

"Julia!" I scream as the white coat hands her to Vanessa, who puts her gun to Julia's head. Julia begins to cry

"I'm so sorry Silver..." She closes her eyes

"Shoot the boy, or I will shoot her and you." She isn't bluffing, she doesn't bluff.

I can't let Julia die, and I can't die, I have a destiny to fulfil.
