Chapter 6: Home

'Silver's POV'

Wu leads us to a big school-like building.

"Welcome to the monastery." Cole smiles as we arrive. A grey haired man, and a woman with grey hair pulled into a braid meet us at the door

"Hello, I am Misako." The woman bows her head

"And I am Garmadon." The man bows his head as well. I bow my head politely

"Nice to meet you both. I am Silver, this is Lilian and Dezmend." I motion to them as I say their names

"Yeah, they're mutants, isn't that cool?!" Jay exclaims. I sigh. I hear him get hit three different times, earning an ow each time

"I am sorry you've had to go through what you did." Misako says with sympathy in her gaze. This makes me angry, why do they keep apologizing?! They have no idea what we went through! They have no right to be apologizing!

"Silver, calm down." Julia, probably feeling the increase of my heart rate, says in a hushed tone "she's only trying to help." I take a few deep breaths before looking into Misako's green eyes

"Look, I'm only here to do what I have to do to destroy every sick scientist and white coat in the world. I don't need any apologies, we aren't weak, we're just different." I take a deep breath and turn so that I'm addressing everyone

"I greatly appreciate you giving us a safe place to stay, thank you." I bow deeply to them

"Silver, lift your head. You have a destiny, and even if, after fulfilling that destiny, you still decide to run away from us, you may. But, just know that all of you will always have a home here." When I lift my head, Sensei Wu is smiling at me. I find myself at a loss for words, I've never had a... Home...

"Thank you, Wu, we will always remember that." Lilian steps in and smiles, he nods

"Alright, Nya, please show Silver and Lilian to their room. Boys, please show Dezmend to his." We all walk inside of the beautiful building

Nya, the boys, Julia, Lilian, Dezmend and I all walk up to the top floor. The boys open a door and file in. Nya, Lilian and I walk to the end of the hall, entering the farthest room on the right.

The room is giant and holds three vanities, two closets, four dressers and four double beds.

"This is my room, you're going to be staying here, I hope that's alright. This is the only room that had enough space to accommodate the four of us." She walks in, we follow

"This house is beautiful," Lilian smiles

"Thank you, but it's actually also a school. The guys and I are teachers. Classes are cancelled for now, but they start again on Monday, so three days." She motions to the room "you two may put your things in the dressers, the vanities, and either of the closets. Please, make yourself at home."

"We don't have any things." I say quickly

"Oh, alright... Well, Sensei did say that we're going to have to go shopping... Would that be alright?" She asks

"Shopping?! I've heard of it!! I can't wait to go shopping!" Lilian exclaims

"Yeah, that's fine... But, what about Lilian and Dez's tail and ears?" I ask

"They'll have to wear hats and tuck their tails into their clothes. As for you and your wings..." She looks at me as she thinks

"I can fold them down." I turn around and show her how I fold my wings. When they're folded, you can barley see them.

"Whoa..." She looks amazed "we should get you both into some pyjamas, you can borrow some of mine." She opens up her closet and shows us her pyjama collection

Lilian picks out a cute, silk, pink nightgown. I take a purple pair of pj shorts and a tank top. Nya changes into pyjama bottoms and a baggy T-shirt. Julia gets into pj pants and a tank top.

"Thanks Nya." I sit on my bed and smile at her, brushing my overly long hair behind my ear as I do.

"Nya, how do you get your hair to look like this?" Lilian asks, pointing to a picture in a magazine

"You get a haircut, I guess you guys didn't get those." Nya looks at our hair

"Well, I wouldn't consider it a haircut, but they would chop some of our hair off to test it." I shrug

"Oh, do you think I could get a haircut?" Lilian asks happily

"Of course!" Nya exclaims happily

"Silver, will you please get one with me?" She looks to me

"I guess..." I sigh

"Yay! Thanks Silver!" She gets out of her bed and hugs me.

We're soon dismissed to go to sleep. I can't fall asleep though, for I'm to worried about what awaits me...

Is this really okay...?

Can I do this..?

Can I fulfil my so called 'destiny'...?
