'Silver's POV'

Fear. That's been the most prominent feeling in my heart for most of my life. Now is no different, except I don't fear for my own life anymore. I fear for the life of my son, his father, my best friend, and everyone who has helped me attempt to fulfil my destiny.

I close my eyes and try not to think anymore as I hear gunshots and screaming outside of the cell.

I lift my head off of Khaos' chest, causing his eyes to focus on me. He smiles gently, and in that moment I know that he still believes that we can make it out of here. I wish I could say the same for myself, but my belief is beginning to waver.

As I open my mouth to speak, all gunshots stop, and the hallway becomes eerily silent. I feel my heart rate quicken, and I turn to the door.

Vanessa bursts through the door, her eyes shining with the excitement of someone who had far passed sanity.

She laughs, "we caught them! We've won!" Her words pierce me like a bullet, and for a moment I think someone has actually shot me. Lilian's eyes widen in disbelief, and Kadence shifts in fear, though he cannot hear what is going on.

"Come now, it is time for their execution," with her words, guards flood the cell, and I'm pulled to my feet. Handcuffs are snapped around my wrists, restraining my arms behind my back.

They shove us down the halls and into a large observation room. A clear glass window covers one full wall. We're attached to the chains on the ground on one side of the glass, keeping us from moving very far.

Each of the ninja is shoved into the other side of the observation room. Their disguises had obviously been removed at some point, as they look like they normally would, aside from the white coat-like clothing.

They are also each wearing a shock collar. A sickening feeling arises in my stomach, and I try desperately to swallow it.

The five are forced to their knees, but their handcuffs are not removed. I easily come to the conclusion that the handcuffs are what is keeping the ninja from using their powers.

The guards exit the room, and renter on our side of the glass. Vanessa smirks, and turns her head to look at me

"Now Sliver, who do you suppose we should execute first?" She asks, lifting her hand to show a black controller with five buttons on it.

I close my eyes and hold my breath. I cannot panic now. Nothing good would come of it. My eyes snap open as she speaks again

"I guess I'll have to choose myself," her thumb hovers over the buttons, stopping and pressing down on the fourth one.

Kai screams in pain and collapses to the floor.

"No!" Lilian screams, pulling against her handcuffs.

Kadence screams and closes his eyes, tears continuously falling from them.

"Stop it!" I scream, feeling tears siting at my own eyes, as the nauseous feeling resurfaces

Kai's body convulses, and his noes bleeds as he screams. Then, all at once, it stops. He doesn't struggle, doesn't scream. As the seconds slowly pass, I becomes increasingly clear that he is dead.

Lilian screams again, desperately trying to free herself from her chains.

"Next," Vanessa presses the first button, and Cole screams. Then she hits the third button, and the electrocution immediately shuts down all of Zane's systems, rendering him dead. Next is Jay, and finally Lloyd. They all die horribly painful deaths, and I fight to hold down the stomach bile rising in my throat.

Lilian shouts and pulls against the handcuffs, causing her wrists to bleed. While she screams, I am shocked.

We failed.

It's over.

By the looks of Khaos, he's thinking the same thing.

Benjamin sighs, "gun," he holds his hand out to the guard standing beside him. The guard quickly takes a handgun out of his holster and hands it to him.

Benjamin aims the gun at Lilian's head, and before I even have time to react, he pulls the trigger.

The world seems to move in slow motion, as the bullet lodges itself in her head, and she falls back.

"Lilian!" Everything still seems slow as I scream her name, tears falling violently from my eyes. Benjamin's smirk seems to speed things up again, and I begin to breathe heavily.

I empty my stomach onto the floor, not that there was much in it.

I flap my wings, pulling against my restraints as the guards rush to hold me down. Khaos seems frozen, like he can't move.

I struggle against the guards for as long as I can, but they eventually manage to fold my wings down and hold me against the floor.

"You killed her!" I scream at Benjamin, as he kneels in front of me.

"I certainly did, Silver. Now, tell me, how does it feel to be so close to the man who has killed most of the people you care about, and yet you are not able to do anything to me?" His eyes drill into mine, and I gather the spit in my mouth.

Once I feel I have enough, I quickly spit it into his face. I think I see some blood mixed in too. One of the guards must have hit me in the jaw.

He just smirks and wipes his face with a napkin from his pocket.

"Oh Silver, I'm so glad I've not yet broken your spirit. It will make what happens next so much more entertaining," he stands again, nodding at the guards.

They force Kadence, Khaos and I to our feet, and unchain us. I can't keep my balance, and end up stumbling as I try to step forward. My head spins and the world quickly goes black.
