'Silver's POV'

"Silver, they've made a decision." Lilian says, tapping my shoulder to gain my attention

"Finally." I stand up, they've been talking for two hours already.

I push the door open and sit in one of the empty chairs, Lilian closes the door and sits in the other.

"Silver, I have decided to allow you to go on this mission, but there are rules that you must agree to follow in order to go." Mr. Borg says

"Alright, what are they?" I ask

"Rule number one, you must stay with at least one other person at all times, you cannot go off on your own, and all mutations will be instructed not to leave you by yourself." He says, I nod

"Rule number two, you must keep the camera that is built into your helmet, as well as your earpiece on at all times so that we can see what you see and contact you." I nod again

"Rule number three, you must be extremely careful with hand to hand combat. If possible, try to use your bow and arrows and guns, and avoid any hand to hand combat, as you could be knocked into another coma or suffer permanent brain damage." I nod

"If any of these rules are broken, any mutations you are with will be instructed to bring you back to the hideout, and you will come back without a fight. Is this clear?"

"Yes, and thank you for allowing me to go on this mission." I never break his gaze

"As long as you follow these rules, I see no issue with letting you go on this mission, so you're welcome." He nods his head.

We file out of the room. Me and my father are the last and are left in the room alone. I walk over and stand in front of him

"I'm sorry dad, but I have to get Kadence back..." He's crying, yet he smiles

"Your mother would be so proud of you..." He takes a stray piece of hair and tucks it behind my ear. Tears begin to well in my eyes at the mention of my mother.

I hug my father tightly, fearing that if I let go he'll be ripped away from me in the same horrid way my mother was.

Zane said that they had put trackers in all of Kadence's clothing, as well as everyone else's, in case of capture, so they were able to track him.

They took him to an institution on an island. I've been told that the building is thirty stories high and is almost as large as the major institution. I fear that we won't be able to find Kadence, but push the thought from my mind.

We're attacking late at night, in hopes to minimize the amount of guards and white coats that we have to avoid. We are attacking with the army, so I sit in an army helicopter, waiting for my signal to jump and land on the roof.

All mutations are in helicopters and have been instructed to try to get in undetected. All flying mutants have been partnered with a mutant who cannot fly, so that we don't need parachutes, thus drawing less attention to ourselves. I'm partnered with Lilian, and Khaos is partnered with a male flying mutant.

In the event that we are captured or detected, all mutants will be instructed to get out of the building at any chance and regroup with the army, then they will launch an attack together.

Our earpieces are incredibly small, so in the event of a capture, the white coats will not notice them and we will still be able to receive instruction.

Each of us also has a tracking device in our armour, but the white coats will probably remove all of our armour in the even of a capture, so I'm not sure how useful that is.

They have also changed the design of the cameras. Instead of building them into our helmets, we'd found a way to build a camera into a contact lens like thing that we place into our eyes. So, the white coats will not notice the cameras either.

The helicopter doors open and we're instructed to get ready to jump. We all stand and check that we're strapped to our partners. On command, we jump, using our wings to pull up just before we hit the roof.

The mutants follow Khaos, Lilian and I into the building before we all split up to begin searching. We are cautious about guards and white coats that are walking around the building. Lilian, Khoas and I are in a group with three other mutants

As we're about to go around corner, my earpiece beeps, along with the other mutation's, Lilian's and Khaos'. We stop immediately

"Be careful, six guards are coming down that hall"

But they're too late in warning us. We're spotted by the guards, and they point their guns at us.

"Drop your weapons!" They shout. We raise our hands and drop our weapons. My earpiece beeps again

"We have been caught, you all know what to do."

One pulls out his walkie-talkie and speaks into it

"We've caught six rebels." He gets a response quickly

"Bring them to us." Wait, that sounded like Vanessa... It couldn't be her, I killed her.

They force us into a room on the same floor. It's large and has a blacked out window covering one wall, just like every other observation room.

My hands are cuffed behind me and I'm chained to the wall, along with the others.

A voice comes on over the intercom.

"I see you're back again, Silver. I was really hoping I had killed you." That's her, I'm sure that's Vanessa!

The window becomes transparent, confirming my suspicions.

"How are you alive?! I killed you!" I feel like vomiting. I thought I was finally rid of her! She laughs

"They just had to get me out of the building before the bombs went off, then reconstruct my organs." She smirks at me

I'm gonna vomit, I can feel it in my throat. I swallow hard, doing my best to keep whatever is in my stomach in my stomach

My earpiece beeps

"Silver, calm down, don't panic. We're planning our attack now."

"Where is our son?!" Khaos demands

"He isn't here. We discovered the tracking devices on his clothing and changed him, leaving his clothes here. Oh, and we know the army and the rest of the rebels are planning an attack, so I've got to make this quick."

That's when I vomit. It spreads out on the floor in front of me

"Those three are useless, shoot them. Take the other three, change them and take them to the aircraft." Vanessa instructs

The three guards that were standing beside the other three mutants raise their guns and shoot them in the heads. Lilian screams, I flinch and begin to breathe heavily.

This can't be happening, Vanessa died, I saw it with my own eyes...

But, so did Khaos, and they brought him back too...

I'm forced out of the room and changed into a white tank top and baggy white pants. The female white coat has an easy time getting me to do things, because I still feel sick and my mind is racing.

We get on the aircraft, and she begins to lead me to a cell door

"Wait, bring her here."
