Once the weekend hit, you were on the train back to Miyagi. During the entire ride, a smile remained on your face. Thoughts of your childhood best friend and cousin swam through your mind, impatience eating at you. You just wanted to spend time with the salty middle blocker and the kind green haired boy you've known for so long.

Stepping off the train, you took a deep breath before happily making your way to your cousin's house. The walk was long, yet somehow relaxing. You felt happy to be back home, no other thoughts running through your mind.

It was almost as if what happened earlier on in the week at your school in the Tokyo prefecture had never happened. But you knew it did. You had decided, when first getting onto the train, that you would not think about the events that had taken place between you and Kenma. This was your time to catch up with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. And they were the only people you would focus all your attention on until you arrived back at home at the end of the weekend.

Your aunt greeted you with a smile when you arrived at your destination. "Y/n-chan! Oh, how I've missed you so much!"

"I missed you, too, auntie."

The woman beamed at you, leading you farther into the house. You two took a seat on the couch in the living room. "How's Tokyo so far?"

"It's pretty good. I joined as the manager for the boys' volleyball team at my school."

"Oh, how exciting! Are you having fun already?"

You nod. "Yeah. How's Kei been?"

The smile never left your aunt's face. "He's been busy with his own volleyball club. In fact, he and Tadashi are supposed to be arriving at any moment now. Their practice gets done pretty late, and we decided to invite Tadashi over for dinner since we were expecting you to come over for the weekend."

"Will Tadashi be spending the weekend here?"

She nods. "His mother already stopped by and dropped off some extra clothes for him. We had a little chat for a bit while she was here."

"Now I'm sad I didn't come sooner. I would've loved speaking with Mrs. Yamaguchi for a bit."

"She felt the same. She says she misses having you come over every so often to spend time with her son."

You two continue chatting and giggling for a while. That was until the front door opened, revealing a tired looking Yamaguchi and an annoyed looking Tsukishima.

You turned to look at them with a smile on your face. "Welcome back!"

Both boys ended up putting smiles on their faces. "Y/n."

You ran up and gave the boys hugs one at a time. "I missed you both."

Yamaguchi gave you a bright smile. "We missed you two, Tsukki especially."

Tsukishima held a frown on his face. "Shut up, Yamaguchi."

"Sorry, Tsukki."

You frown at your cousin. "Don't be mean to Tadashi."

The boy with glasses rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He walks off.

"Where are you going, Kei?"

"To shower." And he disappears out of sight.

You sigh and turn to your friend. "How have you been, Tadashi?"

"I've been good. Just having a hard time settling into the club with Tsukki and all our teammates."

"Kei says you have a lot of annoying guys on your team."

Yamaguchi lets out a nervous chuckle. "You know how Tsukki is. I have to agree with him that they are loud, though. But other than that, they're just normal guys excited to play volleyball and have a lot of energy."

"I bet. You guys came home pretty late. Do your practices normally go so late?"

"Yeah. But it's fine, since it'll help us during matches. Anyways, how have you been? Are you adjusting well to living in Tokyo? How's school? What about your own club?"

You smile, sitting down on the couch with the boy. "Everything's fine. I'm getting along well with the guys on the volleyball team I manage. But I have to admit, they are pretty loud and energetic themselves. Not all of them, though, but a majority of them are. School's fine, pretty boring. And Tokyo as a whole is pretty cool, I guess. I do miss being able to see you and Kei all the time, though."

Yamaguchi smiles at you. "I miss you, too. It's not the same walking to and from school without you. Tsukki is pretty silent, unless he decides to complain about our teammates' behavior. I miss having those nice, long, calming talks with you."

"Awww. Tadashi! You're gonna make me cry! You're so sweet!" You wrap your arms around the boy, giving him a few light squeezes.

He chuckles quietly, hugging you back. "Please don't cry, Y/n."

"You can't say that! You're so sweet and you make me miss you so much when I have to go back to Tokyo!"

"I'm sorry!"

You smile at the boy. "There's never a need to apologize to me, Tadashi."

"R-right."

You nuzzle your face against the boy's shirt. "How are you in school? Is anyone picking on you?"

Yamaguchi lets out a sigh, shaking his head. "No, no one is bullying me. Everything at school seems fine, except for the fact that you're not there as well."

You look up to make eye contact. "I'm glad to hear things are still going good while I'm not around."

Yamaguchi smiles at you. "There's no need to worry about me, Y/n! Everything is great since I've got you and Tsukki!"
