"Y/n!"

You look up, seeing the short boy jogging over to you. "Hello, Hinata-kun."

He smiles at you. "Are you doing alright? Anything I can do for you? Maybe get you something to drink?"

You shake your head. "I'm fine. You look like you can use some water, though." You hand the boy a water bottle.

Hinata's face turns dark red. "Th-th-thank you so much!"

"It's no problem. I do this all the time at my school."

"You said you manage the volleyball club there, right?"

You nod. "Yup. The guys are pretty loud and energetic, just like some of you."

Hinata takes a seat beside you. "And you're from Tokyo?"

"Technically, I'm from here. I was born and raised right here in Miyagi. My parents and I just recently moved to Tokyo."

There were stars in his eyes. "And you're really related to Tsukishima?"

You nod. "Yep. He's my cousin. And Tadashi is my childhood friend."

"Wow! You're so nice, I couldn't tell!"

You blink. "Thanks, but I've been told that Kei and I are a lot more alike than you seem to think."

Hinata tilted his head to one side. "You also have a bad personality?"

You would be lying if you said that didn't annoy you. "I wouldn't say bad. But I'm usually not much of a people person. I honestly view my team as annoying, just like Kei describes all of you as annoying."

The boy processed this. "Hmm.... But you seem nice."

"Thanks."

A wide smile appeared on his face. "And you're really pretty!"

You chuckle quietly. "Thanks. You're pretty cute yourself."

He blushed, briefly looking away from you. "Th-thank you."

"Hinata! Get back over here! Practice isn't over yet!" Daichi called out to the first year.

Hinata quickly stood up, looking down at you. "I'll talk to you later!" And he ran off to join the rest of the team.

You remained sitting on the ground, watching the team carry on with their practice. "Interesting."

"What's interesting?"

You whipped around to face the person that spoke to you. "Oh, just, this team as a whole."

Kiyoko nodded, taking a seat beside you. "They seem to be more fired up today, maybe because there's a new girl sitting in and watching them."

"They all keep calling me pretty. And Kei seems to be getting more and more annoyed by them."

"Mhm. He's already glared and warned them to stay away from you. I guess Hinata isn't paying attention to that. He really likes coming over to talk to you, doesn't he?"

You look at the girl for a moment, then shifting your attention back to the practice. "Seems so."

Silence settled between the two of you, both of you giving your full attention to the boys currently playing volleyball.

Kiyoko sighs. "I wonder if he will stop liking me and try going for you instead. Seems like Nishinoya is about to switch to joining Hinata with flirting with you."

You look at the girl, eyes wide with surprise. "Who?"

She turns to look at you, a light blush and shy smile on her face. "Don't mind me. I just have a small crush on Tanaka."

You stare at her, in shock. "Really? You could do so much better."

She shrugs. "Maybe. But it's kind of cute how devoted he is to me. When we first met, he asked me to marry him."

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna steal him from you. I don't want him. I'm not even sure if I'm comfortable with any of the guys flirting with me."

"Is there someone you like?"

"Not exactly...."

Hinata made a successful spike and cheered. "Yeah! Y/n! Did you see that?! Did you see my spike?!"

You look over at the boy. "Yes, I did. It was cool."

He cheered for himself even more. "She said I was cool!"

Tsukishima scowled at him. "No, she didn't."

Sugawara stood in between the two first years. "Let him have this one, Tsukishima."

He clicks his tongue and looks away, eyes glancing over at you momentarily. He sees you and Kiyoko talking, wondering what you might be talking about with the third year manager. His curiosity is put on hold as he gets called to his position so the team can continue with their practice.
