You slump in your seat, feeling grumpy.

"What's wrong, Y/n?"

"I let them trick me again." You held a deep frown on your face.

Akaashi sighed. "You should start expecting this to happen. Kuroo will do and say, or not say, whatever it takes to have his way. At least, that's how it seems from what I've observed."

Kenma snorted. "No, that's right. I've known Kuroo for years and can say that what you said just now is 100% accurate."

You sigh. "Man, he's such an asshole. How did you ever become friends with him, Kenma-senpai?"

The quiet setter looked at you briefly, quickly turning away before he could make eye contact with you. "He moved in next door to me when we were kids and he bothered me enough that we eventually became friends."

"I wouldn't expect you to let someone bother you constantly."

"My parents were happy I was socializing."

You look at the pudding head. "That must suck. But I understand that. My parents are happy when I'm trying to be social."

Akaashi looked between the two of you, a small smile on his face. "You two get along well."

You feel your face heat up, turning away. "To be fair, we both have to deal with the idiots on this team."

Kenma glanced at you from the corner of his eye. "You don't have to deal with them in the changing room. They get worse behind closed doors, when we're out of range from you."

"Really? What happens?"

Kenma had a blush spreading on his face. "I'd rather not say. It's embarrassing to me."

Akaashi noticed how you two looked, making a mental note of what he believed was going on between you two. "No need to share, until you feel the time is right."

"AKAASHI!"

The three of you look over seeing Bokuto hanging onto something, Kuroo laughing above him.

You stand up abruptly. "How did you two get up there?! Be careful! Get down from there carefully!"

Kuroo hollers back at you. "Oh? Are you worried about me, Y/n?" He had a smug grin on his face.

You frown. "Fall on your face!"

Yaku called from somewhere beneath the two captains. "Do a backflip!"

You laughed. "Jump!"

Kuroo's grin was wiped clean off his face. "You two are awful!"

"You started it!" You yelled back.

Kenma chuckled, enjoying this side of you. "So cute."

Akaashi looked at the boy beside him. "When are you gonna tell her how you feel?"

Kenma's smile disappeared as he turned to the other setter. "I don't know. I think it's too soon to even try right now."

"I get that. Just... don't keep it from her forever. You might regret it."

You turned to sit back with the two setters. "They are such a handful. How do you deal with Bokuto on a daily basis, Akaashi-san?"

He shrugs. "I just do. He's usually not so bad until he and Kuroo are together. That's hen I sit back and let them make their own mistakes. It's better they learn on their own sometimes."

"Ah, spoken like a true tired parent."

Kenma chuckles, trying not to let anyone else hear it.

You look at your setter. "Was it really that funny?"

He stops, looking away. "Kinda."

Akaashi sighs, trying to look away from his problematic ace. "Why are there so few of us that know better than to do stuff like that."

Kenma shrugs. "Dunno. Wait, did Lev and Tora just climb up there?!"

You look over to see more members of your team joining their captain. "LEV! YAMAMOTO! KUROO! GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT NOW, YOU IDIOTS!"

Lev, scared and surprised, falls. Yamamoto quickly climbs back down. Kuroo laughs, watching as Bokuto starts losing his grip.

You sigh, done with dealing with the idiots. "And they wonder why I look forward to the weekends when I can get away from them."

Kenma looks at you. "Take me with you next time, so I don't have to be stuck with them."

You make eye contact with him. "I would, but I don't know how my family would react to it. They might not allow me to bring someone else with me."

Kenma quickly turned away, already having felt like he was about to be pulled to you. "Then I'm just hiding in my room this weekend."

Akaashi laughed, finally seeing a natural interaction between you two. "You guys are a lot more alike than I thought."
