You sighed, laying in bed.

Just moments ago, Kenma had been laying here with you. His body embraced yours as you two had sex.

But he had to leave, so you saw him off. You waved at him, telling him to get home safely. You watched him until he disappeared completely out of sight. That was when you headed back to your room.

You could still smell him, his scent lingering on your bed. You smiled, happy that a part of the setter was still there with you.

Your phone went off, gaining your attention.

Kenma: I got home safely

You: That's good

Kenma: Yeah... I just thought about something

You: What is it?

Kenma: I didn't have protection... and I came in you

You: I'm on birth control

Kenma: Oh thank god. I was scared if I got you... you know

You: Nah, it's all good. Have a super effective birth control

Kenma: That's good. Well.. I'll see you at school tomorrow

You: Yeah, get some rest Kenma

Kenma: I will. Goodnight, Y/n

You: Goodnight, Kenma

Your smile stretched bigger, happy to get a goodnight text from Kenma.

You eased into a good sleep, being able to sleep the whole night through with thoughts of Kenma racing through your mind.

When you awoke the next morning, you had a huge smile on your face. If you hurried and got ready, you'd see Kenma sooner at school. You began to rush through your morning routine, leaving the house a few minutes earlier than usual. You walk somewhat quickly to school, excitement to see your crush coursing through your body.

You approach the school gates, turning to see Kenma and Kuroo walking towards you. You stop, smiling and waving at the two boys as they approach you.

Once they get close enough, you greet them. "Good morning Kenma." You purposely said nothing to Kuroo.

Kenma smiled, making eye contact with you. "Good morning, Y/n."

"Morning." Kuroo greeted.

You briefly look over at the taller boy. "Morning, Kuroo."

The captain frowned. "Kenma gets the pleasant greeting and I don't?"

"I only give good greeting to people who share things with me."

"What did Kenma share?"

"Information I asked for." You look back at the setter with a smile on your face. "Ready to start morning practice?"

He shrugs, a smile still on his face. "I guess. I don't really wanna practice, though."

Kuroo narrowed his eyes at the setter. "You're not getting out of practice."

The three of you walk to the gym together, like usual. Kenma steals a couple glances at you, a small smile on his face. You keep your eyes on his, also smiling.

Kuroo noticed some form of tension building. "What's going on between you two?"

Kenma looks at his psp. "Nothing."

You look at the ground. "I don't know what you're talking about."

As you all break away from each other like normal, Kuroo stops you before you walk into the gym.

"Has something happened between you and Kenma?"

"Why do you ask?"

Kuroo frowns. "Something seems off. Tell me what's going on."

"Nothing. We just talk to each other from time to time."

The captain raises a brow. "That alone is unusual."

You shrug. "I don't know what to tell you. Just... go get ready for practice. I'm heading inside." You walk into the gym and take your normal spot on a bench.

When the guys enter the gym, Kenma does the unexpected. He walks over to you, while the others just stare at him.

"Are you feeling alright, Y/n?"

You nod, smiling at him. "Just fine, Kenma."

"No pain?"

You shake your head. "I'm perfectly alright. You don't need to worry."

The setter gives you a smile. "I just wanted to check up on you after last night."

"Thank you for looking out for me."

"Um... wait for me after practice. I'll walk you to your class."

You giggle. "I'll wait for you, Kenma."

His smile stretches wider. "I'll see you after practice, then." He walks off to join his teammates.

The guys just stared, shifting their attention between you and their setter. Shock claimed them at the friendly interaction they had just witnessed.

And yet, practice carried on like normal. No one dared to say a word about the exchange between the manager and setter of the Nekoma boys' volleyball club.
