"Tomorrow's the day, so get plenty of rest." Coach Nekomata walked off.
You all grouped up in the boys' room. They were making bets about Karasuno, trying to see if they could predict what tomorrow would bring.
You gave away no information. "You're just gonna have to wait and see for yourselves."
Kenma sat beside you, playing one of his games on his psp. "I already met your cousin, and another boy on the team when I got lost."
"Ooo, which one?" You watched as he continued playing his game.
"Shoyo."
You hum. "Oh, Hinata." Then a memory flashed through your head. "Ya know, maybe Hinata wasn't the best person to run into."
Your boyfriend quickly glanced at you from the corner of his eye. "And why's that?"
"Well... he's the one that confessed to me one time I came to visit."
Kenma froze, pausing his game. "He what?"
This gained the attention of the rest of the team.
Kuroo put his hand to his chin. "You did mention that one of the members on your cousin's team confessed to you. Who would've thought Kenma would meet the kid?"
"Not me." You chuckle awkwardly.
Kenma blinked, staring at you. "Nothing ever happened between you two, right?"
You flinch. "Of course not! I tried making it clear that I wasn't interested. And Kei would always help to pull me away from Hinata."
Kenma sighed, a small smile forming on his lips as he went back to his game. "Good."
You look at the time, realizing how late it got. "Oh, I should probably head to my room now. It's getting late, make sure you all get plenty of rest."
The boys murmur their agreements and you walk out of the room, closing the door behind you. You walk to your room and get yourself comfy in your futon, quickly falling asleep.
Kenma finishes the level he was on and puts his psp away. He stands up and prepares to leave the room.
"Where are you going, Kenma?" Kuroo's voice calls from behind the setter.
Kenma refuses to turn around. "Just going outside for a bit."
Kuroo sighs. "I'm not allowing that tonight. We seriously need all the energy we can get for our rivals. If you want to do something, I suggest you just go to sleep in here. We'll all be heading to bed soon, anyways."
The setter sighs, wishing he hadn't been caught so he could've cuddled with you tonight. "Fine."
Kuroo watches as Kenma lays on his futon. "Sorry to be strict tonight, but coach would kill us if he didn't give it our all tomorrow. He seems the most excited for this match out of all of us. I don't want to disappoint him."
Kenma grumbles. "I've been getting great sleep when I was doing whatever I wanted."
Yaku groans. "Come on, you two. We don't need a fight tonight. And if Y/n hears, she's not gonna be happy about it."
Kuroo lays down in his own futon. "Go to bed, everyone."
In the morning, you wake up. Only to find that Kenma wasn't in the futon with you. You wondered if he came to your room at all last night, not knowing since you had been out cold. You get out of the futon, grabbing your tracksuit and changing your clothes. You leave your room, determined to find your boyfriend.
And soon, you found him. But how you found him was not pleasant.
"Kenma, you should've slept more last night." You hear Kuroo's nagging voice.
Kenma retorts. "I would've slept better if you let me do my own thing last night."
You quickly walk up to the boys. "What's going on?"
Kenma flinches, slowly turning to look at you. "Kuroo caused me to get bad sleep."
You raise a brow, trying to connect the dots. "He didn't let you leave your guys' room last night?"
Kenma shakes his head. "No, so I slept horribly and now he's criticizing me for it."
The dots had finally been connected. "Kuroo, lay off of him. When you let him do what he wants, he tends to perform better. And both of you, I don't care whatever tension has been building between you two. We have a match today, so get over it and focus on winning."
"Yes, ma'am." All the boys replied to you in unison.
Soon, the coaches gathered and you all began walking to where your practice match will be held.
