Someone had been staring at you all throughout practice. His gaze remained on you whenever his focus wasn't needed elsewhere. And you were unaware of his constant stares.

Until you looked over and made eye contact with a certain ginger on the Karasuno boys' volleyball club. You notice the intense stare, unable to look away. You tense, not sure how to handle the current situation.

He walks over to you, seeing how you kept eye contact with him. "Hey, Y/n."

"Is something wrong, Hinata?"

Hinata shakes his head. "Just wondering how you're doing."

"I'm... fine."

"You seemed off last night. And today, you've been extremely still and quiet. Something's bothering you, right? You can talk to me about it."

"It's nothing serious just a concern about my team."

He sits down beside you. "Are they fighting again?"

"No, but I feel like there's some tension building. None of the guys are telling me anything, and I'm starting to feel like they don't trust me, even though I'm their manager."

Hinata hums. "What exactly is the problem?"

You shrug. "I'm not sure, they haven't told me anything specific about it. I recently found out that I was part of the reason why the guys fought in the first place. Apparently, because of me, our setter had acted strangely for a while and the guys couldn't get him to explain. They all seemed frustrated at that fact."

"So that's why they fought."

You nod. "I feel like there's more to it, but no one that knows anything is explaining it to me. I'm starting to feel like maybe I just don't belong in the club."

The ginger tips his head to one side. "Do you feel like quitting as their manager?"

"I'm not sure. I don't want to, but it might be the only option if the guys are reluctant to share anything with me. Lately, I've been hearing a bit of yelling coming from their changing room, but whenever I ask, I just get some obvious excuses. None of them want to tell me what exactly is going on with them. Do they just not trust me?"

Hinata shrugs. "Maybe it's something they can't tell you?"

"But what could it be if they refuse to tell me anything about it? I don't think I've done anything wrong. I'm just trying my best to be a good manager for them. But it seems like that might not be working."

Hinata keeps his intense stare on you. "Do you want to hang out today?"

You look at him. "Huh?"

"We could hang out today, to get your mind off of the problem of your team."

You blink, seeing the intense look on his face. "I don't know, Hinata. Kei doesn't really seem to like hanging out with everyone."

"I'm not talking about the rest of the team. Why don't we hang out, just you and I?"

Your eyes widened. "That's... pretty sudden. I'm not sure. I spent so much time with Kiyoko last weekend, Kei was a little upset that I didn't spend as much time with him."

"It doesn't have to be for a long time, even just an hour would help. Right? I think you need to take your mind off of your problems with your team for a bit."

You back up slightly, not noticeable to the boy beside you. "I'll have to think about it. Are you sure it should just be the two of us, instead of the entire team?"

Hinata remained unblinking, continuing to stare at you. "Last night with the entire team, you wanted to leave early and had barely said a word to anyone. I think it would be better if the rest of the team wasn't there."

"Y/n!"

You look over to who called you, seeing none other than your cousin. "Kei."

Tsukishima looks at the short boy beside you, then turning his attention back to you. "My mom sent a text. She wanted to go somewhere with the two of us today."

"Ok." You turn to Hinata. "I can't hang out today, maybe some other time."

Hinata frowned. "Ok. Have fun with your family."

You stand up and start walking with your cousin. "I will. See you, Hinata."

Tsukishima bent close to your ear. "What was that about?"

"He wanted to hang out with me today. It seems like something's gotten into him, he just had an intense look on his face."

"He was determined to ask you out and prove that you like him. The two chaotic second years were cheering him on. Looks like he plucked up the courage to ask if you wanted to be alone with him."

You sigh. "With the look he was giving me, I was a bit too scared to be left alone with him."

Tsukishima smiled. "I'm glad I came when I did."

"Me too."
